I recently had the pleasure of staying at a Masala Zone lake view resort that provided an exceptional experience in terms of accommodation and food service. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warm hospitality and a seamless check-in process.

The resort itself was stunning, with well-maintained grounds, beautiful architecture and good views of the lake. The rooms were spacious, clean, and tastefully decorated, providing a comfortable and luxurious stay. The amenities offered were top-notch, including free wifi, Heating system and many others.

One of the highlights of my stay was the food service at the resort. The on-site restaurants offered a wide range of culinary delights they also offered camp fire with BBQ on side. The quality of food was outstanding, with fresh ingredients and expertly prepared dishes.

The staff at the resort went above and beyond to ensure that every guest had a memorable stay. They were attentive, friendly, and always ready to assist with any requests or inquiries. Whether it was arranging transportation, providing recommendations for local attractions, or simply ensuring that all of our needs were met, the staff's dedication to customer satisfaction was evident.

I was desperately looking for a comfort hotel in Antu as i was travelling with my 82 years old mother and other family members.

When someone referred this resort for my family , i got anxious by reading some bad reviews about it and frankly spoke about the issues raised in the review with the owner and admire how politely and positively they responded.

Though, i appreciate all the cooperation and support bestowed upon us during our stay in general and to our aged mothers in particular, i have few notes here both for the owner and the visitors for future reference.

Firstly, this is the best hotel with best lakeiew in Antu. Secondly, they treat you as a family while away from home. Their food price are moderate and flexibile to give you the best experience during your stay. Room charge is 2500 per cottage, which is worth paying, as it can accommodate 4 person easily. Staffs are very humble and supportive.

However, if you are foodie then it is not your place. Their foods are very simple which needs more improvement as the taste and the portion of foods both are poor. Also, rooms are cozy but bathrooms are filthy. Beds are comfortable but bedsheets are not cleaned enough. It may be due to understaffed. If you are flexible to consider all these sortfalls, then this is your home in Antu.

During my stay, I encountered several issues at the hotel. The stay was overpriced compared to nearby options despite the charge the amenities were of poor quality, such as the slippers, which were almost unusable. The window lock was broken, making us feel unsafe, especially since we had valuable items, including jewelry. Despite the area being covered by CCTV footage, it's no excuse to provide a room with a broken window or door. The room was dusty and appeared not to have been cleaned properly. Hot water in the bathroom was insufficient even for one person to take a bath, seems geyser was also not working properly. For the night, they provided a thermos, but it wasn't sealed tight and by morning, the water was freezing cold. Additionally, the owner, Kanchan Baral, lacked hospitality training and used unwelcoming language with guests. When we wanted to check out she asked for 50% pay and then leave, she insisted that the rules are the same for everyone, saying 'tapai ko sabai santan basna ayeni autai ho,' which I found inappropriate and unprofessional. Such behavior does not reflect good hospitality standards. Although I had to stay there for the night, I didn't enjoy a bit of the place and hope the owner learns to respect her guests.
