I've been in Amsterdam with my boyfriend from 17 to 22 of august and we've stayed at Hutspot: our room was a really nice bedroom, it has a comfy bed and a nice bathroom (but it was really small); every morning Monica (she was really gentle with us,I think she was a friend of the owner) bring us breakfast and it was amazing cause it has sweet (muffin, chocolate, hot milk) and also bread, ham, cheese etc... and it was really satisfying to eat really good food! Outside our room there was a table with a coffe machine, plates, spoons, forks... and everything we needed.||The b&b it's 10 minutes awards from the centrum of the city, but there is a bus every 5 minutes so... (bus stop it's 5 minutes away from there).||There was no room cleaning at all (behind the room door there was an advertisement that said CLEANING FROM 10 to 12) but we had not! Luckily, that's the only downside! ||Prices are honest, I think you can't find another b&b with this prices range that serves a great breakfast like hutspot.||||Hope to come back to Amsterdam very soon and hope to stay at Hutspot...
Read moreWe stayed here for one night during our trip to Amsterdam, this place was the cheapest by far; so we booked it. Finding hutspot was rather difficult, it's just a house on an estate that blends in with the others. It's also quite far from amsterdam center, getting there on foot takes over 40 minutes. The place is rather small and cramped, but this is the case in most buildings in this city. The room was very basic, and disappointingly not very clean at all. The bed was not comfortable and there was not enough bedding to keep warm. The breakfast was okay, a traditional Dutch breakfast of different sweet things that was brought up to the room with coffee. No frills here, very cheap prices with rooms that feel very cheap. One plus was the free wifi on offer. If your looking for a place to sleep and shower on a budget this place...
Read morePositive Experiences This BnB is really good. Located in a quiet neighbourhood, its rooms are adequate and the beds are really big, comfortable and very clean and they have individual bathrooms. The fresh made breakfast served every morning is really tasty, rich and warm. I liked that a fridge is provided as well. The owner is very polite, friendly and helpful. It is located outside the center of the city and it's quite the walk (incl. ferry ride) to it, but for some this can be a good thing. I highly recommend it!
For improvement A very common issue with north European houses, it has a slight mold smell at the staircases which should be addressed. Also, it'd be useful if the toilet of Room 2 was turned a few degrees to make it easier for tall people to use it. But both these two issues won't affect the stay, as they are...
