Good location, friendly staff. The only reason it was rated low was because of the lack of cleanliness. Take your own toiletpapier as they only provide 1 roll for the whole stay period.||||The property was nice, location nice, property had nice furniture, comfortable beds BUT it was filthy and super dirty and poorly cleaned. Though I would stay in the location DroomPark de Zanding again, I would emphasize with a call beforehand and ask them to double checking and doing quality control on the cleanliness. The refrigerator had water on the glass divider, the microwave had fingerprints all over it, the inside of the microwave grill had dried bread on it. The freezer had a frozen item attached to it, the toilet seat was dirty, one of the bed sheets had black makeup on it (so I question if it was really changed) and the MOST APPALLING part was that there was RAT POISON box with rat feces under one of the kids beds. I found the rat poison box on the last day and I was disappointed that we were not told it was there ahead of time to take our precautions with the children. I’m just grateful the kids DID NOT access it. ||||Only 1 toiletpapier roll was provided. Given the pandemic, I was expecting the property to be even more thoroughly clean than normal, but based on what I experienced, it’s difficult to believe they do extra cleaning. I’m just glad we took our own pillows and the kids’ own bed covers along. To be fair, when I told to clean the refrigerator and the dirty bedsheet, they did & were super friendly about it. The other dirty items were discovered after the cleaners had left and I decided to clean them myself to avoid further hassles. However, the cleaners used a kitchen item to remove dirty item attached to the ice in the freezer and when they were finished, it was not rinsed and it was just put back in the cutlery drawer. ||||The coffee machine was dirty, old coffee pads still in. Dishwasher had seeds at bottom of it. It didn’t ruin our holiday BUT if we are paying €200+ per night, and given that we all need to be more cautious during coronavirus period in terms of cleanliness and hygiene there, we were not expecting this level of filth in the...
Read moreBE AWARE OF THE NOISE! ||Location is very beautiful, close to the nature and a national park. However, if you are looking for a quiet place to enjoy your holiday, please be aware the park uses powerful benzene operated leave blowers through out the autumn from Monday to Friday from 9:00 to 18:00 every day without interuptions. Noise is VERY loud and repetitive, sounds something like someone is sawing the trees down next to your house. You can hear it from every part of the park ranging from "i cannot hear you" to a continuous humming as far as 1km away walking in the nature. After the complaint the management of the park said "if you do not like the noise, you should not come here in the autumn". You can ask them yourself when booking, I am sure they will tell you themselves.||About the house: spacious and clean, ikea decorated. Shower was overflowing upstairs and there was drain smell, no issue with bathroom downstairs. One bedroom upstairs has a cracked window, second window didn't fully close and they were missing kids lock protection, so we had to move kids to the bedroom downstairs. Pillows were very uncomfortable, the rest was ok.||Swimming pool: reasonable size for kids to play. You have to book it in advance. We only visited once as it is NOT Covid proof. They limit the amount of people to 30 but entry is so small that it is not possible to keep the distance when undressing/dressing and no one except us had masks on. Showers are not blocked as it should be, there was no supervision.||Restaurant Sophia: pizza is 4 out of 10. Same for pasta.||Area outside: large and attractive to kids, in the summer kids really liked it to swim...
Read moreUnfortunately this was not the best experience for us. We booked tiny house 2 via booking.com and on all pictures of the room we saw the pellet fire place, yet when we arrived and got the key there was only electric heater. We arrived at the closing time of the reception so we couldn’t not change the house. Next day I called in the morning asking to switch the house for the one with the fireplace but at first i was told that I possibly didn’t book it additionally or selected the house without it, after I told them I saw on their website pictures of the house. There was no option for this at booking.com and even on their website tiny house 2 that we booked is shown when filtered with the places that have the pellet fire place. Eventually they swapped the house for us and there was quite a big difference between the houses (apart from the fireplace). Floor new and clean. Glasses cleaner. Shower newer and cleaner. Smart TV instead of the usual one. More interesting design. Honestly I didn’t mind what we had (apart from the fireplace) but when I saw the difference between two, it made me feel bad. It took away a lot from our overall experience, that we have to move to a different house to have a good stay. But then another issue - they don’t really check the hottubs and if they are clean. We wanted to use one in the evening just to discover that those who used it before us didn’t drain it and the drain worked very poorly so we couldn’t drain it quick. I get it that it should be up to people to drain it, but I’d expect cleaners to check it once a day. Next time I will probably think of a different place for...
