Najade Resort — Hotel in Wijdemeren

We booked this resort for a family stay with 8 people for 8 days. It was billed as lakefront, yet our house was situated next to a very busy street with a lot of road noise. We were allowed to walk towards the lake, but could not sit anywhere near as that was reserved for the one house that actually had a lake view. |They did not provide basic necessities such as hand soap in bathroom, dish soap or paper towels. We also were told we must buy our own toilet paper after the initial one or two rolls were used.| It was very hot during our stay and all bedrooms are upstairs. There were screens on roughly 20% of the windows in the house and no fans.|On the first night, the restaurant that is right next door had extended "parking lot activity" with loud talking and music until 2:00 a.m. and we were unable to sleep. Not a pleasant experience considering jetlag on our first night. There was also a very unpleasant smell coming from the shower in the only bathroom and a leaky shower head with a black substance above it on the ceiling. We mentioned this to the front desk and they brought in a plumber who corrected the terrible odor and they also had conversation with the restaurant to ask them to keep the noise down past 10pm.|A note to others would be to wear your shoes indoors. The floors are black tile or gray dial and if you go barefoot your feet will be black in no time. They are not clean. I would also suggest bringing earplugs because the noise from cars in the gravel parking lot and cars on the street is quite loud.|We ordered breakfast in the main dining room of the resort one morning and it was very good. We hated to waste, but there was a bit too much food for...

Absolutely disappointing, booking photos with a lake view, etc., so this is only a trick, as only two terminal apartments have such a view. The hotel room is not visible on any of the photos (if you look at the profile photo, which shows two beautiful houses with a beautiful view of the lake, then these are the two apartments, the hotel room would be even further left, (not shown) no more access to the lake (even as a hotel room inhabitant, you can't even go there, only the people in the apartments can see it). You don't see anything at all in the two hotel rooms. one on the parking lot and the other is over the adjacent Asian restaurant, from which there is a lot of noise until late into the night and the lake cannot be seen through the adjacent restaurant.||Location of the resort is besides sailors, who would take it only as a place to sleep and then again continue their unsuitable for normal tourists. The resort is located in a place where there is nothing and nowhere to go, it lies on a single road along which there are luxury shops, houses, industrial buildings, so there is no way to get to the water, everywhere private and inaccessible land, so . Shops aren't here. as we walked an hour to one side of the hotel and an hour to the other side of the hotel, you are still walking along the road that is fenced on both sides.||The last thing is the bathroom - a super-modern room and then you have in the bathroom dirt and rusty mirror ... I just do not recommend this...

I have booked this place quite few times over the years and it was always to my fullest expectation.||Nice location, very nice room. Clean and clear services.||I made a mistake in booking for the wrong date by booking.com, it as non refundable booking.||So I called the resort and spoke a message in the answering device asking whether it would be possible to transfer my booking to one later(which was actually the correct dat). The spoiler was that I got no answer at all. I would have accepted if they informed that it was impossible. But no answer or any other reaction to a loyal customer is too much for me.
