Ross and Penny were fabulous hosts. Everything was so clean and beautifully presented. They had clearly gone to a lot of effort to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. We arrived late but they were very understanding. Extremely considerate and helpful. The breakfast was great with lots of cereals and fruit salad and assorted jams with tea and coffee. Tea and biscuits were prepared on arrival. Room was very clean, spacious and had a comfy bed. Good quality towels and soap. Great shower. They really had thought of everything and as an extra special touch, we were given a bag of Penny’s delicious home made toffee on our bed. I found myself in Leigh on a dark cold night with unexpectedly nowhere to stay. I made a booking at short notice and Penny and Ross welcomed me into their warm, safe and quiet home for which I am very greatful. The bedroom and bathroom were spotlessly clean, tastefully furnished, and there was an electric blanket which was very cosy. Ecostore amenities in the bathroom. Lots of little delightful details - water jug and glass in the bedroom, magazines, books, well positioned reading light. The view at sunrise was spectacular, with a veiw over Little Barrier Island. Breakfast was generous and healthy, Penny cut up a selection of fresh fruit to go with delicious museli, croissants and toast. More than I could eat. The best BnB in Leigh. Thanks Penny and Ross,...

Ross and Penny are exceptional hosts, warm, welcoming and conscious of giving guests space and privacy to enjoy every aspect of their beautifully comfortable home. They provided us with an AMAZING breakfast, homemade Welcome treats, fruit, biscuits and snacks. They readily shared their local knowledge of lovely places to visit and dine, including the FABULOUS Matakana Markets on Saturday morning! Ross and Penny’s home and gardens were immaculately presented, and we will not only be returning as often as we can in future, but we will also be giving them our highest recommendation to friends and family.
