Leigh Bar and Eatery — Restaurant in Rodney

A lot of great reviews on here so I'm surprised our visit was so average. Didnt have two of the menu entrees available, so we just stuck with our mains only to find out 15 minutes later they didnt have one of the mains we had ordered either. A lady from behind the counter explained this & said they could do any other main, so we selected the pulled lamb salad. It was ready the same time as all our other three mains which was great although they must have been running low on lamb also as I must have counted about 3-4 small pieces throughout the salad in total. The lady did point out it was $2 more than the original order but they'd 'call it even'. I also didnt enjoy the cigarette smoke blowing through the place & over our table as we ate. Its great people who sit outside can smoke but maybe closing the sliding windows may reduce everyone having to smell it?? The man bringing the food out was very pleasant & the food we did get was great although portion sizes were below average. We didnt bother staying...

Great place to come for a cold bear, cider or cocktail and something to eat. Had the gurnard today and it was delicious. Friendly guy behind the bar makes this an awesome spot to come. Outdoor seating, so dog friendly.

Update: Had ribs tonight and, honestly, thought they were some of the best ribs I have ever had - tender, generous serving, delicious! I was with two vegetarians tonight and they really enjoyed the dumplings, definitely didn't feel like they were missing out.

Absolute rip off. Ordered takeaway meals for five people. On the menu the meals were $27 for fish chips and salad. But when we got home there was just fish. That was two meals so $45 for two pieces of fish!! . One meal 4 chicken wings with chips... Only got chicken wings.and cost $19. $18 for floppy undercooked squid and a few lettuce leaves. Burger and chips $25 which was so not worth it. Paid $146.00 for a very disappointing five takeout meals. We are...
