This motel should be shut down and close for business immediately !!! 1. The interior decoration is outdated and unclean 2. Cooking stoves, range hoods, microwave ovens, etc. are all covered with oil stains 3. All the dishes and utensils are very greasy 4. There were several large cockroaches found in the accommodation. 5. The check-in procedure is very troublesome. We have already fully paid for the accommodation, but still we are asked to provide our credit card number in advance so as to deduct the deposit before issuing the main gate password to us. Not sure when my deposit will be released back to us or not ! 6. No hot water for taking showers (it’s 10 degrees now!)

Great place to stay for a getaway. Rooms are basic but spacious, comfortable, and very clean. Your own spa is an absolute bonus. You fill it with water, so no nasty chemicals and, again, super clean. Nice outdoor area. Very private. Great shower. Lovely plunger coffee, but I wish there were small bottles of milk rather than creamer... I will definately be back.

It's not a new facility, but it met our needs (hot tub on decking) and reasonable priced in comparison to palm springs lodge next door where you end up paying $300 a night. This is my new spot to relax and get away from busy life, strongly recommend to couples wanting a night away from the kids lol

Positives.... We had to travel to pickup a machine in helensville, so as for location this motel was good, and there was a large carpark across the road where we could park the truck up safely. The owner was nice on the phone, and it was easy enough to self enter the room. The thermal pool was a lifesaver. Negatives.... Was advised our $100 deposit would not be charged on our credit card...and it was, it still hasn't been returned..the room was left in the same state as we found it except the used linen..... It would have been nice not to have all the bird crap all over the sides of the pool,,, so obviously that part wasnt checked before we came in.... There were dirty cups in the cupboard... I did ask if the room was ok/nice? She said yes... We arrived and the windows were open, it was dark, so mosquitoes were everywhere, I can understand why they were open as soon as they were closed we were engulfed with a dirty stench of musty smell.... The main bed needs to be replaced as has a bow in the middle ,so we were constantly rolling and getting stuck in a ridge in the centre (we are not oversized folk)... Need woollen blankets it was really cold.in there...two thin acrylic, old blankets did not keep us warm!.the air con system didn't heat the room up! After driving for 8 hours, would have been nice to at least have a cuppa with milk, but there was some dried, milk powder stuff, so had to make do with that.. last but certainly not least was the mouldy shower.... and no soap.. And cockroaches crawling in the kitchen....this made me feel sick, I hope none climbed into our luggage!!° #Come on $230.00 per night we would have expected a bit more than what we received.... Highly disappointing, the owners really should take a look at their property and seriously make some changes...and get people's deposits like ours back to them ASAP....not good enough....no wonder they aren't on sight and are contactless....I would be embarrassed to be let people stay in the environment we had to sleep in! Would definitely not recommend to stay here ....not until the owners spend some serious time sorting out issues....1 star rating!! I am just saying this is the first time I have ever written a review like this, but feel people...

We stayed two nights. I won’t bother with a detailed description as other reviewers have already covered that. Suffice to say it’s an old motel which has recently been superficially redecorated. Photos on their website are misleading. Positives: location, directly opposite the Parakai pools. Spa pools in every apartment; being a nice private gazebo with a very large spa pool. The cleaners (who presumably are contractors, not staff) are lovely, friendly and very helpful when we had a problem with the heat pump (operator error). Negatives: No reliable Wifi. Their support person couldn’t help us and promised to call us back but didn’t. We got it going sporadically but gave up on it. No management staff at all. They have contactless check in due covid so they say but I suspect simply a reason not to pay for a manager. First day we were the only people on the property. They could have sent someone to greet us at some point but didn’t. Price. $180 night one, $195 night two. Why the difference? We were told that they charge more for weekends. Last time I checked, Thursday and Friday are not weekends. Locals informed us that the two other motels beside the hot springs are more luxurious and better priced by far. Somebody said in another review that they’d consider a fair price $110/night. I’d agree....

Start with the positives: Spa tub was awesome and what was needed. Unit warm and very private and quiet which was amazing. Walking distance to hot pools and local shops and small drive to Helensville. Massive plus! However unit wasn't clean as expected, (small details) for 4 stars these details should count towards keeping a place clean: stain on carpet at entrance, (first impression counts) wall had drink stains on it and every room had cob webs on the ceilings and walls and bedroom powerpoint. Bathroom was small and showed it needed some repairs, there was damage to wall base by shower and shower carrier was coming away from the wall and no bath or toiletries which website states all units supply these items are ticked as available facilities. False advertising. Very disappointed in not having a bath this was one of the reasons we booked didn't think would have to ask if it states it's available! No one to greet you had to guess what to do...No personality. If you know you are having guess arriving at your checkin time surely you would be available. Slightly expensive for what you got and no WiFi! Modern days everyone requires it. It was a real shame had high expectations for first time stayers thank goodness for the spa tub that made the stay worth while. Unfortunately won't...
