What could be better than experiencing the serenity of a small villa on a wine estate...maybe a large villa! Seriously, the Plume Villas offered everything a romantic getaway envisioned. The only downside was that the on-site restaurant was only operating one night of our five-day stay. Not even the vineyard's cellar door (tasting room) was available??? Very odd... How do they hope to increase the exposure to their wines when even the tasting room (for semi-captive customers) is not open? Fortunately, there were a number of wonderful cafes and restaurants in the nearby villages which offered very tasty breakfasts, lunches, dinners...and wines. The complimentary bottle of their own sparkling rose upon arrival was a nice touch. Being able to stroll their beautiful gardens on secure, established walking paths day and night was a plus. We would rather have dined (and drank) on site most every night instead of having to drive! However, we stayed at the Plume Villas not expecting to be close to any noisy, hectic metropolitan areas. It...

From our first telephone conversation with the reception/booking person (I believe she looks after the villas in the owners absence) to our reluctant check out Plume Villas were hard to fault.||Friendly, helpful and informative service, spotless and extremely well appointed villa, lovely well maintained grounds and despite the rain welcome warmth and comfort on our return. ||The villas include dishwasher drawer (convenient but as the villas are serviced not necessary unless guests choose to use), underfloor bathroom heating, microwave, fridge, heat pumps, small table and chairs on decks and a lovely bottle of complimentary bubbles.||Location is convenient to everything and during summer there is a small pool which I''m sure would be welcome in warmer weather. We took advantage of the special rate for our two night stay but, in the future, will return regardless. Highly recommend for families and couples alike.||Thank you for making a short break away easy, comfortable and...

We have just returned from a 6 day break where we stayed at Plume Villas, a hour north of Auckland. The accommodation was perfect for us, it was private, well appointed and just what we wanted. The staff were helpful and respectful to the extent we hardly noticed them as they went about their business.|The co-located restaurant also known as Plume, was a genuine find with some of the best food and wine we have encountered in ages. We dined at the restaurant at every opportunity (they were closed one night!) and managed to work our way through every course on the menu, from the 7 course degustation with matching wine to complimentary after dinner wines on a couple of occasions.|The staff at the restaurant were knowledgeable, friendly and very obliging when dealing with our every request - Melanie was a standout !. The Chef engaged with us at every opportunity which was an added bonus... This place is a real treat...|It is 5 stars all...

Overall had a lovely stay. This is pitched as high end accommodation and if certainly gets close. Build quality is pretty top notch and the cabin design and feel is amazing. Although surrounded by others it is very private and you don’t really see your neighbors which is always great. I think there are some things they could do to really up their game a little bit... things like having more towels available in the bathroom, a comfy sofa and a side chair would all go along way. They also missed some additions in the kitchen like having a platter etc. The bed was comfortable and large and two types of pillows. The bathroom is of a large size however the fan is a bit annoying. It comes on about 60-90 seconds after a switch is turned but doesn’t switch off for a few mins. Totally get the logistics but would be better to have an option to turn on light w out it sprinting on. Would stay again, clean tidy and overall great location.

We had such a lovely, tranquil stay. Our hosts were so warm and welcoming. All the 1 bedroom villa's ere booked out. They gave us a 2 bedroom.......locked off a bedroom.....for the same price as a 1 bedroom. Beautiful surroundings and a complimentary bottle of bubbly from their Vineyard.....we were spoilt. We did not use the restaurant but I am sure that probably would have been a lovely experience too. Warkworth close by..... Matakana Village close by......Beaches close by...... perfect!!!! Highly recommend you stay here to refuel and refresh
