Hidden Lodge Queenstown — Hotel in South Island

We arrived to the Hidden Lodge, after a long day of indirect flights as the first stay for our honeymoon tripping around NZ and it couldn’t have been more perfect. This place has the most stunning view, is clean, cosy and has a bus stop out side into town (we got $1 fairs!!!!!) Hidden Lodge is a combination of a cozy and romantic get away, whilst also feeling homey in all the best ways, with incredible hosts Kerrin and Luke. They are amazing, they are there at just the right time if you need anything, whilst we also had plenty of time of not seeing anyone else. They also know Queenstown so well, so give incredible recommendations or where to go and what to eat! There were the most delicious cookies on arrival. Breakfast was perfect every morning, it was personally cooked for us, and tailored to our preferences, we also had a delicious cheese board over looking the mountains. The views are second to none!!!! They whole lodge maximises the view and it’s vantage points. Whether in your own room or in the communal lounge space, it’s mind boggling beautiful every window you look out of. The hot tub experience was so beautiful, we went at night. Ahh! Where do we begin! Hidden Lodge - oh my what an experience! |1. Location - 5 minutes drive from town + spectacular views of Cecil Peak & The Remarkables. The lodge is literally the last house so you get uninterrupted views of the surroundings! We got lucky and were able to star gaze from the all natural wood fired hot tub! You get the best of both worlds - gorgeous uninterrupted views and peaceful surroundings + 5 minutes drive to town! ||2. Hosts Wendy & David - Wendy & David are kind, thoughtful, warm and beautiful humans! They truly went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable. From offering helpful local tips and weather updates to helping plan the perfect day—even on rainy days—they made every moment special. We originally booked for two nights but decided to return after our trip to Wanaka, extending our stay by another six nights. Best decision ever! They even made my husband’s birthday memorable with a thoughtful gift and card. Wendy’s warmth and David’s entertaining personality were the perfect combination. We can’t wait to come back!||3. Had an absolutely wonderful stay at Hidden Lodge Queenstown 😊 |Only a 5 minute drive from the heart of town and central to all the local highlights that you will want to visit - make sure you take the 40 minute drive upto Glenorchy for some beautiful views. |The property itself is immaculate with a homely feel but with everything you need. Shared spaces of dining room, comfy couches in front of a fireplace, sauna and even a hot tub!|The rooms are comfy with everything you want after a day of exploring Queenstown. Super comfortable bed, strong hot shower and an incredible view from every window. |As previously said by other guests - the highlight are the hosts David & Wendy. Knowledgeable and engaging locals who are happy to provide tips and suggestions to ensure you enjoy your trip to the fullest.
