A little gem this hotel, young cool staff, running both the hotel and the skydiving business. The place feels brand new, the room was very spacious, clean with nice contemporary furniture, king size bed with a mattress that I wish I had at home, bunch of pillows, big TV with streaming if you have an acount with Netflix /Prime, spacious bathroom, large shower with great water pressure. Kitchen was fully equipped. I was on the second floor (suite2) lots of light with one large window with view of the mountains and a baie window opening on to the balcony for even more beautiful views. The place is very quiet at night and I slept really well. When I realized it was connected to the skydiving I actually thought of jumping the next morning but unfortunately the weather was crapy and just got on my way. So far, the nicest and most comfortable hotel I stayed at in NZ but I have to be honest I wished I had driven Down to my next destination Wanaka and skipped the night in Twizel, nothing to do with the hotel but there's really not much to do in that little town down the road, limited option for food and not much...

We sat on the balcony and ate our supper watching the little planes take off and finally star watching because there was no light pollution. It turns out that there are local restaurants a short drive away but we were more than happy. We thought we would be disturbed by planes the next morning but we weren’t. A great...

My only complaint would be the absence of a cookstove on which to make some spaghetti. There is, however, a microwave and small grill oven. Also a fridge and a...
