My husband and I stayed in the Owhanake Suite for 4 nights, and it will remain in our favorite memories forever. The panoramic views of the water and flora are magical, enhanced by the sounds of the birdcalls and ocean waves. We kept the glass doors open the entire time to take advantage of the fresh breeze which kept the room temperate and lovely. The original artwork throughout the resort is outstanding and reflects the excellent taste of the owners as well as the talents of the local artists. The breakfasts are magazine worthy; as beautiful and delicious as one could imagine, and the attention to detail is phenomenal. We spent our time on the island hiking to spectacular vistas and through forested canopies and old growth jungle. We enjoyed the local wine and gin tastings, and also in-town visits to shops, galleries and restaurants. Peter and Caroline are some of the most gracious hosts we have encountered, willing to share their vast knowledge of the island and offer fun and relaxed conversation.

I can't say enough about Pete & Caroline and the stay we had at their incredible home. From the minute we walked off the ferry we felt like we were staying with family. A few things: 1) The house is immaculate and could be in the best location on the entire island 2) By far the best breakfast we had on our entire trip.. Also, the best view 3) Pete and Caroline were such great hosts. They offered great ideas and advice on things to do on the island. We also took away some great life lessons. This is a memory we will have forever - we look forward to staying again.

This was our second stay at Marino Ridge and it was just as fantastic as the first. Our hosts Caroline and Peter were amazing, the location stunning and the accomodation very luxurious. We thoroughly enjoyed taking the dogs for a walk! (well more like they took us) Will hopefully be back again!

Exceptional Marino Ridge commands the most outstanding views on Waiheke Island which is praise indeed as Waiheke is breathtakingly beautiful.||Located 30th minutes by regular ferry from Auckland this is a must on any visit to New Zealand. It will be the first accommodation choice on our list for the whole of New Zealand when we return for the third time.||The owners, Caroline and Peter, should be credited with having created what is considered to be the prime luxury property on the island. We felt privileged to stay there. ||The property is beautifully designed, modern, luxurious and surrounded by nature.|| Each of the three elegant suites have been designed with everything in mind for the most relaxing of stays.||Breakfast is wonderfully prepared by the hosts at a time to suit you and features a range of freshly made dishes with many ingredients coming from their vegetable and fruit garden.||In the mornings we sat on our balcony to plan the day but always had to postpone leaving as the panoramic views combining an unbeatable blend of crystal blue ocean, beautiful islands of the Gulf and set in what feels like a nature reserve are just captivating. ||Marino Ridge is without...
