Check the website because there are cold showers, but knowing this it's a great campsite. No markers so you can pick your own spot. Our days were fully booked but it didn't feel cramped. Private beach too that's pretty good, a little muddy but a good depth for everyone to be comfortable.

Really great spot to camp. Lots of shade, close to the water, flushing toilets and drinking water available. There was also lots of space between everyone, didn't feel on top of others.

Excellent Campsite with flush toilets, drinking water and cold showers. Very sheltered camp sites with lots of trees and bird life including some cheeky Pūkeko and Weka

There were only 1 other tent when we were there. It was mid April 2018. The campground was very neat, clean and tidy. Lots of good nooks and crannies there, a cosy overall ground on the island. There are spots for watching the stars above the ocean with the bright Auckland city in the distance. Makes for a romantic setting for lovers and a heartwarming backdrop for most gatherings, I reckon. Toilets are clean and well looked after. There were drinking water fountains but we can't vouch for their safety. There was an outdoor sink stand for personal hygiene and other things too, pretty convenient. No shower and no electricity, so be prepared with whatever to work around the situation if need be.

Paying methods are still a bit hassly, but customer service was sweet...

This is the only campsite on Waiheke but it's a lovely one. Book in advance through Auckland Council website. I came from UK and it was easy to do after emailing the council staff. Its cheap too. The duty staff were friendly but unobtrusive. There were plenty, spacious pitches, with lots of foliage separating everything. Good flushing toilets, unheated showers, free gas grills all over site. Lots of birdlife, watch out for the Pukekos trying to steal your bread!! It's right by the shore, and at high tide we found ourselves swimming in a bath hot sea. It's a mudflats, so there is no speedy drop off. There are picnic benches throughout and on beach so you could sit and...

We had a fabulous 3 night stay here. Lots of shade spacious campground and heaps of birdlife. The toilets were super clean and the cold showers were refreshing, nice view beach is great for swimming but only at high tide. Park ranger Frank was really great, letting us know in advance about the high winds and was welcoming for our large group. He also let us borrow some salt for our dinner and was very helpful. Overall a lovely spot and we had an...
