The Lodge at Mudbrick — Hotel in Waiheke

From the moment we arrived, we were captivated. The views are breathtaking, and the atmosphere is so inviting. We opted for the wine tasting platter, and it was an absolute delight. The selection of four wines was perfect, each one more bloody delicious than the last.

A very special few days in August with my daughter visiting from the UK. Merlot cottage was lovely and peaceful and everything you could want was available. Having breakfast provided was a main reason for choosing Mudbrick and we enjoyed a complimentary Mudbrick sparkling wine, superb dinner with red wine on our first night, then browsed the island, shopped, wined and dined, and returned for cocktails and to enjoy the view for a couple more...

A trek to get there (we walked and I wouldn't do it again as it's a long, hot, rather steep walk) but the Vineyard is Idyllic. You could be sitting in a villa in France - but with a view of the city and Rangitoto Island. Absolutely fabulous.
