Very bad customer experience. Will never stay there again. This was our first trip to Nicaragua, and this Holiday Inn pails in comparison to the Quality of Service that my wife and I (Platinum IHG Rewards Members) have received when compared to our stays in Costa Rica, Honduras, El Salvador and Panama and any other IHG hotels Worldwide. Knowing that I wanted to book the Holiday Inn Express because for the same amount of reward points I would get a King size bed and breakfast, when arrived to this hotel before check-in time, a front desk clerk erroneously told me that I would be able to cancel the reservation there and reserve the HI Express (on-line) which I was not able to do, and when I asked for the front-desk manager, she was very rude and told me she would not help me so my wife and I had no choice but to stay there. Then we were not able to park in the guest parking lot because the valets have blocked all available parking spaces with plastic orange- cones. Then the Loyalty Champion did not greet us. Then the bellhop/concierge personnel standing at the entrance did not greet us either, nor offer to help with our luggage but rather looked elsewhere, perhaps because we did not have a business attire on. Then after I asked the Loyalty Champion to let me talk to the General Manager, I got a call from the Guest Manager, whom offered us two $2.50 local beers but never got the GM to reach out to us, as if IHG Members are of no importance to him. To make matters worse, my wife almost got run-over by an speeding truck just outside the lobby and I stepped on a coke-can (littered trash in the guest parking lot) which it spayed on my pants when heading to the airport... And as if, -all of this was not enough, and employee at Budget Car Rental office (housed at that hotel its Lobby) tried to extortion money from us, but I was not able to share any of this with the General Manager because he still did not reach...

Read moreMy family and I have been staying at the Managua Holiday Inn for several years now. Over the course of the years we have noticed a significant decline in quality and care for the customers.
This past vacation my wife forgot her engagement ring in the room as she was distracted with all the last minute packing. We checked out. We forgot that we had left our phone charger in the bathroom and within 5 minutes of us checking out she ran up to the room, found the charger and noticed that the money we had left for the housekeeper was gone. She did another sweep and found nothing else. When we arrived at the airport she remembered that she had left her ring on the counter next to the television. We frantically called the hotel and of course it was gone. Over the last couple of months the Holiday Inn has made ZERO attempts in contacting my wife, in fact she herself has call them multiple times with no resolution. Security have cameras in place to check who went into the room right after we checked out, my wife can identify who was responsible for taking the money that was left for the housekeeper and the ring but again, nothing has been done. I have to tell you that she is heartbroken as it was her engagement ring that she has had for over 14 years. We will not be staying at this hotel again and will make sure that all of our contacts know that this company is perfectly okay allowing dishonest people to work for their company. Absolutely disappointed in this...
