As an international traveller, I didn’t find this hotel satisfactory. Most of the people who stay look like they are Nigerians and I did not see many foreigners like myself.
The hotel is new, so it looks nice, and inside is relatively clean.
The main issue was that there are baby cockroaches staying with you in your room. I think every room has a microwave, and this allows other guests to eat food in the room spreading crumbs everywhere and prepares the environment for the cockroach homes. When I saw these cockroach babies, I called reception and they came with a spray, but then took the spray away after spraying the room. At an international hotel, regular pest control and spraying is done (and some rooms are equipped with one spray each) but I believe they don’t do this here.
Food was also a struggle for me. I like Nigerian food, but I don’t need to eat it every day, and at every meal. One day I asked for some pastries and American coffee, they did not have either. The only dessert they had was fruit or cake - no muffins, no pancakes, no pastries. As coffee, they told me they only had instant coffee, and they were going to charge me the same price as an americano - 4000 Naira. I can buy 2 bottles of instant coffee power at that price… also, many things on the menu are unavailable. Even the Nigerian food here is questionable. The way they prepare the meat is bad - they just cut chunks off so there are bones everywhere. The pepper soup had so many bones in the meat, and as for the shawarma I was enduring the “crunching” of bone pieces when I bit into it several times.
Some people comment that the security was good, but that’s only until you pass the gate. This hotel is new, so several people use it for weddings every single day. There is a lot...
Read moreOur recent stay at God's Place Hotel Ikeja, Lagos, highlighted several strengths, particularly in areas crucial for guest satisfaction.
The hotel's commitment to cleanliness was evident from the moment we stepped into the reception area, extending seamlessly through the walkways and, most importantly, into the guest room. The meticulous attention to detail in housekeeping is commendable, earning a 4-star rating in this regard.
The Guest Service Agent, while maintaining a firm and efficient demeanor, consistently demonstrated professionalism, ensuring a smooth and orderly experience. Our room provided a truly pleasant stay, featuring soft, comfortable sheets, plush pillows, and reliable amenities including steady power, clear cable channels, and readily available hot water in the shower. The overall quality of the furniture, fittings, and equipment was exceptional. Our only suggestion for enhancement would be to update the tea maker set to align with the hotel's otherwise excellent brand presentation.
The Food & Beverage service was equally impressive. We experienced prompt room service, a well-arranged and diverse breakfast buffet, and consistently well-prepared, delicious meals. The entire F&B team exhibited a pleasant and professional approach in their service delivery, contributing significantly to a positive dining experience.
Overall, God's Place Hotel offers excellent value for money. With continued consistency in service delivery, this brand is well-positioned to secure a strong and positive presence within Lagos's competitive hospitality market and among travelers. We assign an overall 4-star rating for a...

You do not provide the minimum service required in a hotel. The first frustration you meet when you get to God’s Touch Apartment is the employees at the front desk, the reception.
These girls are always confused, absent minded, struggle with reservation, they often look helpless, exuding crass & annoying incompetence. The lady with facial marks is the worst, she’s never on top of any issue.
Today, Monday, February 19, 2024, I came in, if not for the intervention of her supervisor, I probably would have slumped at the reception, coz I was tired & exhausted, over a reservation I did more than a week ago. No communication, no update, nothing. I got to the reception, boom! room is not available that there’s maintenance going on. I honestly expected the disappointment, coz I stopped having positive expectations since my last visit.
You’ll sense the girls are not even in a healthy working relationship with each other. You’ll give a message to the one on duty, the girl at the next shift would tell you she’s not aware of your message. Nobody told her anything.
Service is terrible, very poor & way below the belt. I hope you fix these...
