Hm, honestly if i could give the atmosphere a 0 i would. First of all upon arriving to the restaurant it took more than 10 minutes for the staff to take our order after calling many times for someone to attend to us. This isn’t the first time I’ve been here and I’m quite familiar with their slow service but i thought that by now this issue would’ve been resolved.

Now, the wait time. We were prepared for this- from previous experiences- so we put a timer down to time how long our starter would come out (spring rolls). 45 minutes. This is just the starter ooo.

Now at this point in time i had my mind set on 3 stars because the wait was bad but the food was still nice, not too bad. But goodness. A very large group of people came into the restaurant and started making noise and that was the beginning of the end. It got to a point where some of them were even yelling and the children in the group were running around making noise… in a 4.3 star restaurant??? And the staff just stood there nonchalantly. I even felt bad for this one couple that were sitting next to the noisy group they seemed to be on a date and they looked so uncomfortable.

Anyways the ambience of the restaurant was very conflicting. On one hand you have a whimsically decorated restaurant and then you’re playing loud afrobeats??? The whole experience was like when you try to mix water and oil. It just doesn’t work. It wasn’t even just us that looked like we weren’t enjoying ourselves other customers also looked annoyed and unimpressed.

All in all this is the last time we will be coming here. Advice: take your money to a restaurant of quality, not...

Food - 4.5/5 Really generous quantity + tasty meal. I ordered a large plate thinking medium would be too small for me. Alas, it was so much that I had to take home. However, they had a lengthy wait time. I had finished my milkshake before food was ready.

Drinks - 4.5/5 The chocolate milkshake was top-notch. If you are an adventurous person, you should try the bubble tea from the Chinese tea shop. Loved the bottle it came in.

Pricing Compare to the quantity and other restaurants with mid-standard aesthetics, Alice Garden's pricing is affordable. You will truly get your money's worth. But their VAT is really high (22.5%).

Aesthetics - 5/5 It's a true depiction of its name - garden. The restaurant transports you into a beautiful garden right from the walkway.

Staff - 4/5 The staff (from the security at the door to the waiter) who attended to my partner and I were very courteous, friendly and helpful. And those I saw attending to other people were also friendly. However, the manager is the reason for -1 point. I don't know if he was having a foul mood that night but he kept hastening like he wanted to kick us out. Terrible etiquette really.

Addition: 1/ If you want to plan a birthday surprise, they can help out also. Simply bring your cake and they will handle the rest including singing for the celebrant.
