The greatest compliment I can give is that staying at this hotel truly felt like a warm, welcoming home away from home. From the moment I arrived at the hotel, I was met with a level of hospitality that instantly set this property apart. The check-in process was swift, efficient, and accompanied by genuine warmth from the front desk team. There’s a certain kind of welcome that makes you feel like more than just a guest—and that’s exactly what I experienced here. The greatest compliment I can give is that staying at this hotel truly felt like a warm, welcoming home away from home.
One of the first people I encountered was Hasan, who handled the valet parking service. From the very start, his friendly manner and ever-present smile made a lasting impression. Every time I arrived or left, Hasan greeted me with the same cheerful enthusiasm and professionalism, always going above and beyond to ensure everything was handled smoothly. His attitude was a shining example of the kind of service that makes a guest feel valued, and he is without a doubt a credit to the hotel.
Equally memorable was Imran, who assisted me on multiple occasions with my enquiries during the stay. Whether it was providing directions, offering local recommendations, or answering questions about the hotel facilities, Imran’s charm, attentiveness, and patience never wavered. He had a knack for making every interaction feel personal, as though my needs were his top priority, and that level of care is rare to find.
The room itself was immaculate—beautifully decorated with a tasteful blend of modern comfort and elegance. The bed was supremely comfortable, the linens fresh and crisp, and the amenities of high quality. It was clear that housekeeping took great pride in their work, as everything was perfectly arranged and maintained throughout my stay.
Dining at the hotel’s restaurant was another highlight. The breakfast buffet offered a generous range of options to suit all tastes, each dish prepared with evident care and attention to quality. In the evenings, the restaurant’s menu showcased fresh ingredients and skilled preparation, making every meal something to look forward to. The service team in the restaurant was attentive without being intrusive, and they consistently added to the warm atmosphere.
The communal spaces were equally inviting, from the stylish yet comfortable lounge areas to the spotless public facilities. Every corner of the property reflected a high standard of maintenance and cleanliness, creating an environment that was both relaxing and refined.
What truly elevates this hotel, however, is its people. Hasan’s ever-ready smile at the valet, Imran’s charm and dedication when assisting with enquiries, the welcoming front desk team, the attentive restaurant staff—all worked together to create a seamless, memorable experience.
I left feeling not only rested and well cared for but also genuinely appreciated as a guest. This was far more than a place to stay—it was an experience built on kindness, professionalism, and pride in service. I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel and will gladly return, confident that the warm welcome and exceptional service will be...
Read moreWe stayed at this hotel for a month and the overall stay was very pleasant. A few things to note: The staff need a higher level of training on the front desk. During check in they failed to mention that we had two options for breakfast, the executive lounge or the restaurant buffet downstairs. We found out by reading this in the elevator. However when I mentioned this to the manager, he still insisted that we were only able to use the Exec lounge. I informed him of the sign in the elevator and from that day we were able to use the restaurant downstairs. We then had an issue with the smell of gas in the room. They sent an engineer, who said everything was fine, however I was concerned and asked them to move us as my partner began to feel dizzy. They moved us to a room on a higher level above the old room. We continued to have the same issue. When I called the reception and spoke to the manager he informed me that the entire hotel has this smell occasionally due to an industrial site in the vicinity. I told him that I wished to move again but to the other side of the building. He agreed after insisting that the smell would still affect that side too. We moved across to the opposite end of the hotel and not only was the room clear of the smell but it was also much better. When I informed the reception manager of this he proceeded to inform me that the smell was not as bad on this side of the building. I was confused as to why they would place us in a room that is affected by this gas pollution, and also give us misleading information, changing the story each time. This was unprofessional and shows a lack of experience from the manager. In addition, I reported the fridge which was broken as it was barely cold...almost warm. The technician informed me that this is how the fridges are. When we moved to the last room, the fridge was cold....as fridges should be. It was a shame that we had to put up with a warm fridge and gas smells for the most part of our stay....3 weeks, then the final week, after a frustrating conversation with the manager we were given a nice room with a cold fridge and no gas smell. Had the staff been focused on customer care, we would have had this room for the entire month or at least after my first complaint, sadly they failed to deliver and it ruined our stay. The staff in the executive lounge were welcoming and attentive. The food presentations started off well but after the first week, during Ramadan, even though they said the service would remain the same, the food was poor and they served the same dishes night after night which was not good for long term stays. The pool area is lovely and relaxing, with amazing views, although in the marketing material there are cabanas, when in fact there are no cabanas there. The location is adequate if you are not there for a holiday. For sightseeing you will need to get taxis and there are no shops walking distance. Overall, the Movenpick is a nice hotel and priced reasonably as it is fairly new. I expect they will increase the price over time which will make it overpriced unless they address the issues i...
Read moreThe staffs are not hospitable at all. Not friendly at all. From the time we arrived no bell boy and no vallet assistant helped us. We needed to bring in our stuffs on our own. No greetings, they look sad and upset receiving guest. In the reception, I have booked days before and even confirmed it the night before but they wasn’t able to book my booking but ofcourse managed to book me in. They are not even aware of the online offer that they put on social media.
They got cheap brandless and prefilled espresso coffees in the room and cheap water for 5 star hotel. I needed to order to talabat for better quality water. The room service is horrible, we need to call minimum 5x for each time we need something and we need someone to clean it.
The room looks fabulous until the night; we asked them to help us with the sofa bed. we needed to move the sofa bed so my daughter could sleep in because i got two children with me but no one came. So we move it our self, but to my surprise under the sofa is unimaginable, it was a horror seeing this nasty dirt under the sofa and worst we called them to clean it but no one came to clean it up until we leave. The problem is my kids and i have terrible allergies and asthma which triggered us all. Thank God i brought our medicines, otherwise it would have been a disaster!
the breakfast buffet and dinner buffet was the worst. We thought it was a 5 star hotel so we expected more mouth watering dishes on specially on dinner. That’s why we had booked with dinner too. Only to find out that not only the food tasted not restaurant quality, they also served about 2-3 set of protein dish and rest are salads and fillers. I am really disappointed, in my opinion is a shame! Even IKEA Ramadan buffet is much more options and tasted better. Salads are not even fresh anymore. I know exactly how great hotel restaurants service and food like. I am not a chef but we are foodie and we really mark grear restaurants and hotels the go back to them over and over if it’s really good.. We are so disappointed.
They have very short timing for staying in; the check in time is at 3pm then check out 12 noon the next day? Even shangrila bar al jissa and albustan palace gives more than that and they also give more late check outs. In comparison to j.w marriot, shangrila and other 5-7 star hotel we’ve been i could say they are not alike.
At the end, we just tried to enjoy the pool, they got great pool. Maybe i will come back here but only for pool day access and perhaps bring my own food if that is...
