I am sending this as I've tried contacting this hotel several times with NO LUCK. They make it so difficult. |NO HOT WATER|GRUMP FRONT DESK PEOPLE|VERY LONG CHECKIN PROCESS|MOLD on the chairs|_||Hello. Last night -Aug 11 2025 I stayed at the Radisson Panama Canal. I've recently became a Choice Rewards member but the experience at this Radisson is leaving me feeling so disappointed. ||Firstly, the front desk agents need major help and re-training. They are so UNFRIENDLY and just look miserable on their job..They don't smile nor do they want to help us as a guest! Whenever I ask to speak with a manager, they always tell me she's not there... They had me sign two documents which they said are new procedures by new management. I made a comment like why so much paperwork and plus you are killing lots of trees. Alessandra (non smiling grumpy agent) says "well US has new procedures then we will give you new procedures" ... I had no idea what she was talking about.||Secondly, this morning there was NO HOT WATER (nor warm) the water was frigid call. The least Radisson can do is provide hot water for early morning showers. I complained when I checked out and a very rude front desk guy said 'ok thanks for telling me" ... He never apologized nor showed any sympathy. I asked for some type of discount and all he said was I'll talk to the manager who's not here right now. This irritated me so much. This guy SHOULD NOT be at the front desk and he needs customer training. Additionally, the first room they had given me after requesting my normal senior rate of $66 USD was full of mold around the desk and desk chair. |The second room they put us in #1309 had a non working air conditioner along with no HOT WATER!||I expected better from Radisson. This is NO WAY to treat loyal guests. I'd appreciate if you credit my account for the no HOT water and make sure I get an upgraded room with HOT Water on my next stay.||Thank you for...

I recommend the hotel only for folks who book an ocean-view room with balcony on the Panama Canal. The ability to enjoy at leisure the traffic on the canal is superb. There's also a lovely walkway along the canal; you can walk to the Biomuseo on this pretty route. In all other respects, the property is not only average, it's far from city center and the airport. A couple of small, but useful grocery markets are about a 15-minute walk away. Amiable housekeeping staff. Somewhat aloof reception staff. Much nickel-and-diming at the hotel, such as the mini-bar "amenity" that took up fully half of the granite bar prep area and ALL of the fridge space that I had paid for. The shuttle bus "amenity" is to a shopping mall only, where guests are dropped for three+ hours before the return trip. The room is gosh-darn cold from the a/c, but it's necessary to prevent the fogging of windows and mirrors in the room because of Panama City's humidity. So bring a warm outer layer for inside the room. The desk's power outlet in my room did not function unless I depressed the bottom power button by the hotel door to activate the specific socket on the wall outlet below the desk. This required detective work on my part, as there is no signage, further confounded by the fact that the other socket on the very same wall outlet DOES work for the desk lamp, even when said power button by door is not depressed. It's difficult to see the floor numbers in the elevators, as there is little contrast between the steel plate background and the etched floor numbers. But again, at the end of the day, if a terrific view of the Panama Canal is high on your list, then this one feature might override the annoyances. But only if you pop for the ocean view. Breakfast "included" only if you opt in for an...

It seems you have a moisture problem. The smell of mildew when you first walk into the lobby is overwhelming, like hitting a wall, and does not make a favorable first impression. It doesn’t seem to permeate the hallways as much, but it’s there. Thankfully, it wasn’t noticeable, at least in the room I stayed in. Points for the room being very clean, however, the ceiling tiles look tired, and the bathtub drain seemed sluggish.

The two meals that I had really left a lot to be desired. Regarding the bacon cheeseburger I ordered, the bacon was undercooked, and the burger was way overcooked, most likely because it appeared to be made from a frozen hamburger patty, which would explain why I wasn’t asked how I would like the burger cooked. Serving the condiments in the same foil packets (no relish) along with the paper packets of salt and pepper, similar to what one would find at a fast food burger joint, in the same type of glass one finds in one’s room is not what one should expect in a hotel restaurant. For breakfast the only gluten free options (yes, I’m one of those) were the eggs, fresh fruit, and possibly the chopped up hot dogs- for breakfast? Really? Other items appeared breaded and not worth taking the chance. The cereals offered, Special K, raisin bran, and fruit loops are not gluten-free, so I suggest adding cornflakes as an option, which are. Please don’t serve the hot water for tea from a pot that has been used for making coffee, no matter what you do to clean such a pot, the coffee taste will still taint the tea. Keep a pot completely dedicated to just hot water.

The pool area did look very inviting, I didn’t have the opportunity to use it and the building façade pool side is very...

It's a nice hotel. If you get a room on the ocean-facing side, you can watch the ships enter and leave the Panama Canal. That was the draw for me. But the ships come in drips and drabs, separated by 45 minutes or so, and there's a big break when the canal switches from eastbound to westbound, so you can wait a while without seeing anything. The hotel is rather isolated. The area is pleasant - green and park-like - but there's nothing around if you want to find a convenience store or a pharmacy or any restaurant besides the one in the hotel (or the connected TGI Fridays, where I watched the Super Bowl). I tried to get a COVID test. They weren't particularly helpful. They told me I could look for a place in town, make an appointment on my own, and take a taxi to and from. Didn't offer to find a testing site, and didn't have any provision for facilitating COVID tests for guests (as many of the hotels here do). So I left early and went to another hotel that brings someone in to do the tests. I cut my finger and tried to get a band-aid. The woman at the front desk looked in the back room and returned with a cotton pad and Scotch tape. Better than nothing. The wifi was subpar. There was loud music coming into my room from next door. I realize that hotels don't have control over their guests, but it was still unpleasant.

For anyone that might be contemplating a trip to Panama, just a heads up and hotel recommendation for whatever it's worth: Last week for our short trip, we stayed at the Radisson on Amador Causeway, just to the ocean side of the Bridge of the Americas. It's the only hotel located directly on the banks of the Pacific entrance to the Canal. The views were spectacular day, evening, and night. The hotel and grounds are very well kept, room very clean, the staff is very friendly and responsive, excellent buffet breakfast, great restaurant and coffee shop located on premises and a TGI Fridays on the grounds, we wanted to eat at local Panamanian restaurants for our week in country and the ready availability of Uber made that just too easy to pass up. Former Balboa Yacht Club (now Canal House) is a stones throw and very easy 3-5 minute walk from the Radisson. On our last morning, after breakfast and before checking out to head to Tocumen, we were pleasantly visited by a flock of very large green parrots that flew back and forth from just above our balcony to the tops of those trees....talking up a storm. :) Anyway, for anyone that's interested in a review of the Radisson, we give it a full thumbs up and five stars, service, and location were unbeatable for a short stay in close proximity to great restaurants and shopping.

This is a 2.5 Star hotel! We stayed at this hotel from January 12-17. Our first room, #314, was labeled as a garden view but felt more like a parking lot view. The room had a terrible odor, was extremely run-down, and had dirty walls in multiple areas. Sliding door to the balcony was so dirty your couldn't see out. We couldn’t stand it, so the next day, we requested an ocean-view room. Luckily, they had availability for three nights, and we moved to Room #311. It was a huge relief—no awful smell, much cleaner, and had a spectacular ocean view. Watching container ships pass by from our balcony was a highlight of our stay. Then came the dreaded fourth night when we had to switch rooms again. They moved us to Room #1112, and it was an absolute nightmare. The fridge was rusted on the outside, and the bathroom mirrors were covered in foggy stains—it felt like stepping into a rundown gas station restroom. On top of that, the swimming pool was in terrible condition, with missing tiles and grime everywhere. This place was a total disappointment. Equipment in the gym was very old and cluncky
