This place is indeed a surfer's paradise. Situated right at the point break and close to the beach break, there's always a wave to surf. The best thing are the incredible views though, no matter if during the day or at sunset.
I stayed for nearly a month. When I didn't surf, I loved relaxing in the hammock or sitting on the porch and taking in the beautiful scenery around me. You don't hear any noise, just the sea, so I slept very well.
The rooms are neither new nor fancy (like at the hotel next door) but clean and the AC works well and I found the bed comfy. You won't spend much time inside anyways. The view outside is just too beautiful for that :). So for me the view and the outside places to hang out at were much more important than the room decor.
Because there's a kitchen and a communal area, it's super easy to connect with other guests if you feel like it. But it's not a party hostel, which I appreciated. If you don't want to cook yourself, you can also order a good breakfast and tasty lunch. There's are also a couple of restaurants within short walking distance.
On top, Sandra and Italo are such lovely hosts - they make you feel very welcome, are always up for a chat and help you if you have any questions or problems.
Thank you, I had such a good time, looking forward to...
Read moreThe best place I have ever stayed at. The hostel it's located just I front of the reef break la punta, the house is on a small hill which make the view crazy beautiful, the dorms have a balcony and there is no door or Windows so your room is fully open and you fall asleep of the sound of the ocean and you see a bit of the stars, and when you wake up the first thing you see is the waves pumping outside. I tell everyone about this place and I dreaming about going back, the most sick thing is actually how cheap it is for the view you get. The hostel is more like a small family company and the owner is super friendly and gave me a ride to the Main Street when I was suppose to leave for free! The fish with rice I got for lunch was the best food I got in whole Panama and yeah everything...
Read moreTL;DR- DO NOT GO, BAD ROOMS, RUDE STAFF At the first night, when we arrived to the place, we discovered our room has been given away (although we told the owner we will be coming late). We got a dorm room instead of a private one, there was a fan that was barely working and mice feces in the corners of the room. At the second day we were transferred to a private room- but no sink. the toilet didn’t flush until the owner came to fix it. This room also had mice feces in the corners under the beds. Third night- we sent our laundry, paid a few dollars- and one of my t shirts was ruined by bleach. When I told this to owner he denied that it was them, and when they gave me 20$ as a compensation the owner's wife told me “and now I don’t want to see you ever again”. Horrible experience,...
