Very welcoming place close to the beach. The italian owner moved to the mountains and left a little paradise behind. Right now a man from Costa Rica runs this place and is doing alot of work to keep the little tropical forest and to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The original italian pizza oven is hot all day and he serves excellent Pizza for dinner or fresh made bread as beverage to the breakfast. The breakfast is 5$, full and definitly worth it. He has a passion for cooking healthy food using herbs and vegetables from the own garden. Unfortunately they only cook for their own guests because they need to get a new license to reopen the bar and restaurant to the public. Surf-, Bodyboard and bike rental is on side and not expensive. They have 3 comfortable cabins(another one is under construction) and some dorm beds. The public kitchen is well equipped. Everything is for a good price and clean. Las lajas is much less touristic than other places in Panama. On Sunday a couple of local familys come to the beach. There are a few restaurant around where the whole fish is always the best choice. The next supermarket is in Las Lajas a bit far away. There are only to public busses per day but many taxis(1-8$ depends on the distance) around and people will give you a ride if you wait on the main street. Thanks for having such a nice and comfortable time...

Read moreMy partner and I recently stayed at Hospedaje Ecological Nahual and we absolutely loved it. The host, Elvis, has such passion and love for the natural world. He is a kind host who will go out of his way to make sure you are comfortable and has a vast knowledge of the plants and animals around his home. Elvis has a heart of gold and is working hard to make sure his hostel is a place of beauty and kindness. We loves the large brick oven pizza that the hostel serves and the fresh bread, eggs, fruit, and jam that make up the generous breakfast offered here. The location of the hostel is right across from a 12 km long Beach that is pristine and mostly undeveloped. My partner and I walked for two hours along the beach and maybe saw 20 people. This is a gem of a hostel right next to one of the most beautiful natural locations I have ever seen. Highly...
