As bad as I hate to leave a GREAT and Awesome review for this little gem .......... I gotta do it and be honest !! I just don't want the whole world finding this place and booking up all my days !!! :) ABSOLUTELY the most gorgeous, friendly, and FIVE STAR chef worthy culinary masterpiece I've ever known on the Pacific coast !!!! A Diamond in the jungle is the best way to explain !! I can never say enough ........ you just have to experience it. I'll give you the things that stood out the MOST, buy everything was perfect so don't let my main focuses deter you from understanding that every little piece of this heaven on the Azuero Peninsula is utter perfection !! The staff and managers are top notch #1 AWESOME, the grounds-the pool-the restaurant-the rooms ........ all were so clean and pristine. OK but the heart and soul of this juicy little Pacific coast hideaway is the FOOD .... like nothing I've ever had, even at the most fanciest of five star restaurants ..... this baby takes em all .... we tried every dish on the menu and not one of them even was remotely questionable !! I've never had a more flavorful and individually unique taste from every single dish served !!! The manager and chefs are making some culinary dreams come true in that cocina !!!! We are fishermen and connoisseurs of unique foods ...... the manager even let the chefs cook some of our tuna we caught that same day in several different ways and serve to us one night for dinner !! Take...
Read moreWe stayed for two nights and wish we had stayed a couple more. The location is perfect, rooms were well cared for and clean, the staff was attentive, and the pool area was refreshing. Our stay, meals, and drinks were affordable and of good quality.
We did enjoy our meals, I only state the following for the purpose of providing feedback and we acknowledge our own shortcomings in the language as being a factor.
Breakfast menu could have more detail and a little more creativity would be nice, we did not realize the Panamanian breakfast primarily a stewed meat with two polenta patties. The polenta patties did not have a lot of flavor and the meat had a good flavor, but there was just too much meat for me. The American breakfast lacked flavor.
Lunch and dinner menu are the same and if you stayed for more than a couple days may become tiresome in my opinion. A special was told to us by the owner for our first lunch, but other meals times no special we offered...
Read moreThis is a wonderful hotel in a remote beach on the Pacific coast of Panama. It’s far away from the hustle and bustle. It’s a long way to get there and the road on the last hour to the hotel is the only stretch with potholes The rest of the way was nicely paved and marked. The beach has dark gray volcanic sand and the surf is strong. It’s a paradise for surfers. We went there for the seclusion. Only has 10 rooms although 15 more rooms are being added. Nice pool, beautiful grounds. The restaurant is excellent with surprisingly high quality gourmet food that never disappointed. Service was excellent too. The owner stopped by one our table of the days we were there and gave us the load down on the renovations. Can’t say more positive things about this place and our...
