Nomada was exactly what I was looking for: an affordable, modern space I could work out of and then kite surf on my free time. It’s neighbours with Panama Kite House (ask for Hannah, she’s AWESOME), and the Nomada staff/owners made me feel incredibly at home and special. They went above and beyond to make me feel like family. For me, that’s #1 on my list of what I want out of a location. Shout out to Lucho, Juancho, Luis, Larisa, Irvin and Yesenia.
I stayed for a whole month while construction wasn’t finished (due to delays from the Covid lockdown) and will definitely be coming back next year when the hotel is in all its glory (it will have a restaurant, pool, patio, etc.). The owners were very detailed in the finishes of the space: beautiful flooring; tinted windows so you can see the beach from your room, but no strangers see you; comfortable mattress; waterfall shower; laundry services; touch pad security on the door; etc. What surprised me about the space is that you don’t hear noise coming from the outside when you close your doors (granted, I wear ear plugs at night, but I think the strong winds are the culprit to a quiet night).
The kitchen!!! I have a hard time eating healthy when I’m travelling, so having a kitchen where I could monitor my nutrition was a HUGE bonus. Tip for those coming: stop by the grocery stores in Coronado because they have more options (supplements, granola, chia seeds, electrolytes, things like that). Otherwise, Mini Super Daniel (5 min walk) has weekly fresh vegetables and fruits, and the basics. There’s also a truck that goes through the town in the morning and you can request to come to you.
I also checked out some beautiful nature spots nearby like Los Cajones and Cerra Chame. I’m a big hiking fan and having that variety and beautiful view was stunning. I went by bus (which goes through the town every hour or so and is cheap) and then hiked the 14km total. I left at 5am to be sure the sun wasn’t too strong. The walk around the Punta Chame peninsula is also gorgeous. The tip is barren and untouched, so if you go early enough, you’ll see hundreds of Pelicans as though you’re in the middle of a documentary witnessing their natural habitat.
Punta Chame is known for its great kite surfing because of how incredible the conditions are (best in January and February), but I’m sure you can Google more about that since I’m not an expert.

Read moreIf you are trying to search an hotel or a good room to stay at Punta Chame, Nomada got your back with an interesting design and great accommodations for the price range in the zone, the food was great too, the amenities were above average for sure, but a couple of improvements points can be made to make the stay even better, first of all, the restaurant/bar needs to be open until the informed open hour at least, we tried to snack something at 8 and almost half PM and the site was already closed, even thou they have informed us that it was open until 9 PM, there are a lot of delivery services that can serve food until at least 10 pm around but it will be great if Nómada can improve that for the guests, second, the beach access is terrible and dangerous, as you might probably know if you are interested in going to Punta Chame, the beach it’s a great spot for Kite Surfing, but no so much as a recreational beach, but the access to it from the hotel is horrible, a lot of waste mostly driven in by the pacific tide, but they can at least try to make a little DYI or clean a part of their access to the beach to make that less perilous for the guests, overall the place is a great spot to share with friends if you can go with your own drinks and food (they got some rooms with kitchens and appliances that were a+) and the scenery and ambience and coziness of the place, and the service quality of the people working there, will make it a return place in Punta...
Read moreAwesome container hotel in the best part of the beach in Punta Chame, with outstanding service. The rooms/ containers are a bit small, but the amazing view, lovely hotel facilities (pool and restaurant) and cleanliness totally makes up for it. The manager lives at the property, is super easygoing and helps out with everything; arrange transport, book kite lessons, arrange for late checkout, borrow equipment - no problem. I loved this place, would stay here...
