Hotel Morobe — Hotel in New Guinea

Rooms were big and bright. Food at the newly-opened restaurant in the hotel was super good Chinese food. We loved the pineapple fried rice! However, service was really slow as the restaurant just opened a day before we were there. It took about an hour before our food arrived. A lot of improvement could still be done in this area. ||||Hotel management and staff were friendly and really accommodating. The Hotel Manager, Mark, even offered the hotel's service vehicle if we needed to go to the bank to change money. ||||We loved their breakfast. The sausage and bacon were not fatty and not oily. One proof is that my boss who usually eats light managed to finish her big breakfast. Also, ||if you happen to stay here, make sure to try the cakes at their cafe Cafe 411. I was really impressed with this hotel, the rooms are spotless and finely furnished to a high standard (starting K399). It’s safe and staff are very friendly and professional. The cafe and restaurant next door (in the same compound) are great value for money with amazing views over Lae and surrounding mountains.|It’s better to get a room on level 2 or 3 as it’s a bit quieter than level 1 where reception is. The sound does travel a little. ||Only use Guard Dog to get around...

Went for lunch on Thursday 10th August. Ordered a marnara dish at 12:00pm.

I got served at 1:45pm.

I had to ask 4 times and all 4 times I was told they were bringing it out.

When I got up to leave, they brought it out.

Worst customer experience. Worst customer service. Especially with the waiters and waitresses persistently lying about bringing the food out.
