I stayed at the hotel for four nights to visit the surrounding area sites.||||The hotel is modern with clean rooms, comfortable beds and good wifi. There's also hot water with a nice-sized shower.||||It's located a few blocks down from the overlook of the nearby beach to the south, making it convenient to go for morning walks on the beach - and it's a nice beach.||||What made the hotel memorable for me was the generosity of the family that owns it. I was a bit under the weather due to a bad piece of fish at a restaurant in Miraflores and they helped me out a lot during my time there.||||As for Barranca itself, the beach is quite nice and there are the surrounding ruins - the guide at nearby Caral told me that there are 22 other ruin sites within close proximity. This hotel is owned by a very hospitable family. Clean rooms, hot water, good wifi in a relatively new hotel. Also: |(1) A great base for trips to Caral. There is a stop about 2 blocks away for shared vans, which cost approx 10-15 soles (USD 4) roundtrip at time of visit. Private transportation is also available and can be arranged through hotel; |(2) Safe. There is a police station about one block away. Take the usual precautions, but the immediate area was safe for walking during the day and night;|(3) The owners are friendly and gracious hosts.
