Hotel Maravillas del Colca — Hotel in Chivay

Let's do a list it will be easier :||- cold welcoming ||- the room's only window was showing the corridor - with poor courtains giving a nice view from the corridor into the room (otherwise it's not funny) ||- dreadful room totally outdated - it would at least give you an idea of what it was living in the 60's. ||- the concept of cleaning the room or the bathroom was apparently not up to date ||- and to sum up your fabulous experience walls are probably in paper as you can hear the door bell ringing the whole night and pretty much everything said in the neighbours rooms. ||||After a delightfull night you will enjoy the horrendous welcoming for breakfast and to discover that your included breakfast only includes a poor cup of tea with rotten leaves. ||||As a great man once said :run for your life ! and ask for an upgrade on your tour ......

Like everyone else reviewing, we stayed here as part of a tour and we would never have chosen this for ourselves. The place is dank. The carpet in the room is worn to a nub and incredibly grubby. The ceiling looked like it might cave in. There were stains on the duvet but the sheets appeared clean at least. There was hot water. The wifi was actually really good. The room was cold but there's plenty of blankets on the bed so it was really cozy and we slept very well despite the questionable surroundings. We went for dinner and when we returned at 8pm the door was closed and the key we were given didn't open it. After 10 minutes trying to get in contact with someone about letting us in the receptionist guy thankfully returned. We skipped breakfast but it looked like nothing to...

Reception staff smiled ,that earned one star

Rooms shown on internet are only given if you mention that what they offer is not up to standard .Wobbly toilet seats . Place felt grubby and considering we paid an extra 30 soles a head for an upgrade on our tour to Colca Canyon we felt there was a degree of misrepresentation. Breakfast..!! Tea bag one roll margarine and something in a finger bowl . Very disappointing. Then they came around the breakfast table trying to sell you bottles of water. Would definitely not...
