Grima Hotel International Westin Group — Hotel in Huánuco

This is a relatively new, modern hotel. The rooms are spacious and immaculate. The floors literally shine and are mopped and cleaned daily. Maid service in room was exceptional. The beds were very comfortable. The sheets were pressed. I usually hurt after sleeping in hotel beds. This was not the case here. Also, the shower had a large head on it so it felt like a gentle warm rain shower. It had lovely, glass doors and beautiful tile. It also includes a morning buffet breakfast with some hot foods featured. The eggs go pretty quickly, but there is an assortment of fruits, juices, and some kind of home made potatoes with onions that was hot. Rolls and cheese were also offered. The front desk people were kind and helpful. No one spoke English, but they did try! Also, there was an elevator, which is unusual in Peru Hotels. For sure the best place to stay in Huanuco. The suite is big. The hotel is very clean. Negative points: |-a bit noisy, especially early in the morning (6:00-6:30) with the music of the "basurero" - garbage collector. |- the breakfast is good but you need to go early before 8:30 otherwise you risk to find just few things to eat (the buffet is not continuosly refilled).|In general a good hotel at good fares. The hotel is very nice, clean and only one block away from the main square. Our room was very spacious. Breakfast buffet was adequate. Service always very attentive. I forgot a pair of sneakers in the closet and called after I returned to Lima. They had found them and promptly took them to the bus station and shipped them to me. Got them the next day.
