DO NOT GO HERE.
This was possibly the worst hotel we’ve ever been to, worse than party hotels in places like Lloret de Mar. It started out somewhat okay, with the worst offenders being a cramped bathroom, no sockets next to the bed, and no lights on the bedside tables. The bed seemed alright. Also, the staff speaks very little English, but they were friendly enough. However, we soon found out that we couldn’t close the window (which was, in all fairness, fixed quickly) and that there was a large crack between the door and its frame, so a lot of cold desert evening air came in to the room. Also, the wifi only worked (poorly) on one side of the room.
This, still, was relatively okay. As it turns out, the bathrooms have shared air vents (literal holes in the wall) which means you sometimes have a nice synchronized poop and absolutely no privacy in your bathroom. You can also hear everything your neighbors say. The shower is pretty good, but the water doesn’t drain properly so you’re always standing in a pretty high pool of water. Breakfast is extremely basic. It’s in all honesty not badly cooked, but it’s nothing more than some eggs, two white buns with some jam, a juice (which seemed like it might have been topped up with water) and a bad coffee with a layer of grinds at the bottom. It’s also all wrapped in plastic foil, tightly so it pushes down on your scrambled eggs. This is still not the worst of all!
There was an entire family staying with us in the hotel, and they held a party (including a big speaker) by the pool, right below our window. Given the crack in the door and their incredibly loud music and voices, there was no way we would sleep. The reception staff didn’t do anything about it until we called, and they only asked the people to turn the music volume down a little; it took us three more calls for the music to be turned off altogether but they didn’t stop talking. In the end (around midnight) we gave up and tried to sleep while the party was still going. It seemed like the staff really didn’t care or maybe notice.
The hotel policy btw apparently is that people can bring guests to all shared areas. Decide for yourself if that’s just weird and annoying or also unsafe.
When we tried to get a (partial) refund on our stay upon checkout, it wasn’t “in their policy” to offer refunds. Mind, it’s actually a very expensive hotel compared to others in the area or to (better) hotels in other areas of Peru.
Once it was finally time to leave, it turned out the reception hadn’t reserved our requested taxi and we almost missed our bus to Arequipa. At this point I was about ready to have a panic attack.
Seriously, skip this one. Spend your money...

Read moreOverall, this is a very nice hotel in a semi-secluded section of Ica. They have food service on sight. The breakfast is very simple and small, you place your order the night before for a certain time and they have it ready for you - I don't know if it part of everyone's reservation but I would NOT pay for this breakfast. Dinners on the other hand are very large portions and heavy. (Chicken with potatoes and rice for example) The dinners were good, not great, but satisfying. You probably could do better out in the town.
The hotel itself is very pleasant. Comfortable beds, hot strong showers, good Internet connectivity. They have a pool that is heated but if the weather is cool the heat can't keep up. The gym is also pretty good.
The service, especially the evening shift is super friendly and helpful in planning things in the area.
