I booked a KingBed Room for one night through AA.com to get the proper mileage for frequent travelers. In the AA.com web site, it appears that the distance from the airport to the hotel is 1.88 miles, but in reality is 18.8 miles, which created a big problem for me, but I managed to deal with that. I should have checked TripAdvisor website for accuracy where their maps are precise.||When I arrived at the counter, I was told that I had booked a "Two Twin Beds" which I did not find acceptable, since I had payed extra to get this type of lodgging.||After my negative to accept the room offered to me, the lady at tye counter made a phone call and my room was properly changed.||For the breakfast in the morning, we had tasty pork, bread and mini tamales. They needed however to add more juice to the jars in place. OJ had only one small glass, which I took, leaving the jar empy. Pineapple juice had about 5 small glasses, from where I took three for my wife and I. The papaya juice was almost full. Juices were delicious as well as the rest of the food!!!||People working there are very nic, helpful and humble.||Hotel-Taxi is a bit pricey. For a taxi that wouold cost 8 soles, I was charged 12 soles.||When I asked how much would cost for another distance, the driver said 25 soles, which is 12 soles more than a regular taxi would charge.||It is a beautiful hotel, which I really enjoyed. I am criticizing so they can grow. I was born in Peru and want to see all Peruvian Hotels to show the best of Peru to all tourists.||My wife and I took pictures in the beautiful spots, but the fountain on the back of the restaurant was not working, so pictures will miss that part.||Overall, my experince was pleasent, aside from the distance and the twinbed room that they...
Read moreThe rooms are below par...should be equated to a 1 or 2 star hotel. No side lamps. Bathrooms are shabby. Can hear people in the bathroom of the next room. Curtains cannot fully close due to the aircon at the window and therefore at night the light shines through. Area of the hotel is in a very busy and somewhat dodgy place of town. We had an early morning flight and had to leave the hotel by 530am and was assured there will be a buffet breakfast just for us as they only open the normal breakfast at 6am. All we got was toasted bread with Jam until I asked for cheese as well. thankfully we only stayed there for one night else it would have been utter terror. If you're going to drive all the way to the city centre of Lima rather drive nearer to the beach...book your own hotel and never allow Flight Centre travel agency to book horrible...
Read moreThe hotel is fine, small breakfast, rooms with amenities (TV, phone, a/c), minibar, friendly staff, but it is located in the Lince neighborhood, far away from Lima downtown (Miraflores and San Isidro neighborhood) and from the Historic Center. In the nights, the streets of Lince are a bit scary, so if you want to walk after dinner, forget it. Cabs are not safe in Lima. |On the other hand, room service is very good, and the restaurant is superb. Try the ceviche.|Conclusion, the hotel is very affordable (less than u$s 50 per a suite with breakfast) for its quality, but it is far away from Lima main attractions....
