My Surf Camp Peru — Hotel in Lima Metropolitan Area

I stayed for 4 days with Victor, Olga, and Julio recently and had an amazing experience overall. I booked a surf lesson package, which included lodging, 3 meals a day, lessons, rentals, transport to/from beaches, and transport to/from the airport in Lima (highly recommended; transport is not easy or cheap). Punta Hermosa is a gorgeous area and the school is a short 10 minute walk to the beach. Olga made each meal during my stay, authentic, delicious, and healthy. ||||I HIGHLY encourage everyone to book lessons, regardless of skill level, instead of just staying here and surfing on your own. Victor is not only an incredible surfer, but a great teacher and human being. Being able to speak with him outside of the lessons was just as rewarding as the learning process; he's passionate about teaching, surfing, and Peruvian culture in general. Joined Victor chasing a swell up north. I'd been itching to see the waves around Lobitos, Mancora, and Cabo Blanco. I've never been on such a well-executed, perfectly timed strike mission. We scored the waves of my life at Panic Point, head high +, barrels in warm water off an empty white sand beach with a few incredible, lowkey, restaurants. We scoured spots all over the region and with Victor and Sal's local knowledge, we surfed great waves the entire time. I learned tons about the area, Peru and just generally had an absolute blast spending time with them. Victors a man worth giving your money too for sure!||I spent 4 days there. He had me up on waves my first day out and I'm an absolute noob when it comes to surfing. Great local knowledge, and an all around good human being, runs his sh*t straight and fair.||Mommas meals, authentic and muy deliciosa! 3 square a day!||It was a bit out of season, but it seemed like a chilled out family environment if that's what your looking for, especially for me after being in the Rat race that is Lima and Cusco.
