Peña Linda Bungalows — Hotel in Los Órganos

I am giving this location 4 stars based on the price range, as I felt it was pretty good for the price.

I enjoyed the stay at Peña Linda Bungalows. The views and proximity to the ocean are amazing. The staff is wonderful and will go out of their way to help you out.

There is a restaurant that serves mainly seafood, but there are a couple of chicken dishes if fish doesn't thrill you. The food was tasty. The included breakfast consists of bread and jam, scrambled eggs, papaya juice and coffee (instant coffee, but for some reason I like instant coffee more in Peru than back home). Breakfast service was always fast, but this wasn't the case for other meals. The kitchen seemed to rely on one cook, so we realized after waiting one day over an hour for lunch that we were better off dropping by the restaurant and order ahead. They will tell you when you should come for lunch or you can ask for lunch at a certain time. You can also ask for the food to be brought to the pool.

The rooms were comfortable. The mattresses were actually quite good, which I don't find to be the norm in Peru. They don't have any drawers in the rooms, only shelves, so expect to keep most of your clothes in your suitcase. Most Bungalows consisted of a double bed, and a bunk bed, so you could easily sleep 4.

The pool was ok. I felt it could have been cleaner. I would have liked the bathrooms to be a bit better maintained as well.

Overall, I would recommend Peña Linda Bungalows if you are looking for a comfortable, cozy beach vacation and are ok with rustic...

Stayed 3 nights, 4 days with my boyfriend and had a very nice stay. Nice and spacious bungalows with private bathroom with hot water. The bungalows were located almost on the beach. We read here on Tripadvisor that the hotel should be run-down but they must have made up for that, cause everything looked fresh and not at all run-downed!||A big window in the bungalow makes sure that you have the perfect view to the ocean and the marvelous sunset! Loved falling asleep to the sound of the waves rolling in. Actually apart from that sound it was a very quiet and relaxing stay. At the time we were there, there were a few families staying as well, not sure though if I would bring small children myself because the beach had quite big waves. But there is a pool and the area was nice.||There were sunbed chairs and palmtrees.||The restaurant was good but too small portions for the price. But for our experiences the sizes are quite normal for Peruian standards. The breakfast was standard: coffee, juice, scrambled eggs, bread,marmelade, butter.||Very friendly personal, they don't speak English (only Spanish). It wasn't a problem for us even though we only speak very basic Spanish.||The place has wifi in the Collin areas but it's slow.||The hotel is located approximately 15 min from town with a moto taxi (10 soles). Le doy 3 estrellas sólo porque la ubicación del hotel me encantó está a unos pasos del mar y tiene un excelente vista. Debo mencionar que fui en la época de año nuevo y por estas fechas este hotel y muchos otros cuestan casi el triple de la tarifa que tienen en temporada baja. Inicié diciendo que le doy 3 estrellas por la ubicación pero por el tema de la atención y de los procesos que mantienen para sus reservas les daría 2 estrellas, voy a tallar los puntos que considero en los que este hotel debe de mejorar. Primero, me molestó el hecho de que la reserva se debe de hacer sólo por correo electrónico nada por teléfono, hice un primer depósito por la mitad del valor total en calidad de reserva y el segundo depósito (la segunda mitad) tuve que realizarla días después, no me permitían reservar y pagar al momento de mi llegada. Una vez que realicé el segundo depósito, no confirmaban mi reserva, yo trataba de contactarme con la persona con quien había coordinado por correo, empecé a sentir nervios de solo pensar que me estaban estafando y digo esto porque simplemente cuando realicé el segundo pago no me confirmaron nada (no me indicaron cuál iba a ser mi habitación y no me confirmaron mi reserva). Cuando por fin, después de exigir que me den un número (casi peleando), me enviaron el correo de confirmación de la reserva con una fecha errada; esto me estresó mucho más pues ya faltaba poco para fines de diciembre y mi supuesta reserva decía que mi estadía sería en junio del siguiente año, fue todo un conflicto por teléfono. Todo esto se hubiera evitado si el hotel tuviera un proceso de reservas más formal. El hotel era como se veía en las fotos la piscina un poco más pequeña de cómo se ven las fotos, la zona del restaurante puede mejorar en su aspecto. La playa es muy tranquila para descansar, los lugares nocturnos sólo hay en Máncora y tienes que ir en moto parece un poco arriesgado pero en esa época del año hay bastante gente. Segundo punto por mejorar, la ATENCIÓN. El primer día que llegamos nuestra reserva iniciaba a las 3 p.m, y como llegamos antes pudimos estar en la zona de la piscina almorzando, demoraron en limpiar la habitación, al final entramos casi 4 de la tarde. El desayuno era siempre lo mismo: Jugo, huevo revuelto, pan y una bebida caliente, osea no variaba. Un día quisimos tomar desayuno en la zona de piscina (en las mesas), ya que el día que llegamos almorzamos en esa zona solicitamos que nos coloquen el desayuno allí; el mozo nos dijo que no se podía y obviamente le reclamamos porque el día que llegamos almorzamos allí, este joven empezó a tener una actitud muy negativa con nosotros y nos dijo de que nunca nos había visto antes, pésima atención de esta persona. De todos los chicos que nos atendieron, no puedo decir que todos fueron amables al 100% hubieron algunos que sí y otros que no tanto. Para finalizar, al realizar el check out nos volvieron a dar otra boleta del pagó de la estadía (por exigencia nuestra) y luego nos cobraron los consumos de la habitación; como comenté inicialmente, nosotros no consumimos mucho porque nos gustaba salir a los hoteles que estaban cerca para almorzar o cenar. Justo en ese momento, el joven que sacaba la cuenta de consumos me dijo qué le parecía extraño que hayamos consumido tan poco, si habíamos estado 5 días pero que no importa confiaban en nuestra honestidad, poniendo en evidencia que no controlan adecuadamente y que dudan de lo que ellos mismos registran como consumos de sus huéspedes. No sé si regresaría a este hotel pero si a Vichayito; la ubicación del hotel es buena y tiene una excelente vista como ya les comenté. La atención y algunos procesos que ellos manejan deben mejorar. Al final estando allí en la playa, es difícil que ciertas situaciones como éstas malogren tu viaje. Así que lo tomamos con mucho relajo y puedo decir que la pasé excelente, no necesariamente por la "esmerada" atención de todas las personas de este hotel pero sí por...
