Intiotel — Hotel in Piura

I almost gave it three stars, would do 3.5 if I could. ||||The good: Decent room, clean, dependable, comfy bed. Located centrally. Nice showers, nice television. ||||The less than good: Teeny little room, especially if you plan on getting room service. Not sure if you're supposed to tell them when you're done with the food or what, but the food leftovers just sat there on the single desk in the room the entire time I was there. I only needed the room 6-7 hours waiting for a flight after a 18 hour bus ride, but still full day charge. My girlfriend spent some time with me in there, so an extra charge on top of that. Ended up being kind of an expensive 7 hours. Plus the front desk girl wasn't super polite about telling me that I'd be charged extra for my girlfriend as we went towards the room. ||Overall: A little costly, for what I got, but that's what you get when you're staying in the 4th highest rated hotel in Piura I suppose. I highly recommend this hotel because It has everything you need for an stay in Piura: a central location, a modern building , reasonable price and a wonderful staff that goes above and beyond to make your stay comfortable. As of to date, my family has stayed in this hotel twice. We really appreciate that the hotel has accommodated all our needs. The main strengths of this hotel is that it is located downtown but thanks to its modern construction you do not feel the noise. Additionally, we really enjoy the nutritious breakfast and amenities. Last time I stayed here, it was a very nice, more than acceptable benefit-cost ratio hotel. I just complained about the bed cover, a minor detail. I returned after about a year and I had a terrible experience: I was located in room 415, a tiny, uncomfortable room. At least, I thought, it has a decent bathroom... But wait until you turn the A/C on: it makes as much noise as an electric hammer. I do not exaggerate: it is impossible to watch TV, work on my laptop, or even take a shower while it works. The noise is unbearable!!! When reported, I expected a change of room or at least someone coming and pretending to fix the problem. NOBODY cared about my complaint. They did nothing. I hope never have to return to this...
