Reycer Hoteles — Hotel in Piura

We were 3 people travelling. We requested a room for 3 and were sent pictures of LARGE rooms with 3 beds. We assumed we would be getting what we saw. WRONG. In all the rooms they showed us there were only 2 single beds and they had to move in a third "temporary" bed. The rooms are VERY tiny and dark. One of our party was sick one night and they claimed that the bedding could not be cleaned and they wanted to charge an exhorbitant amount to replace the bedding. They don't seem to get the idea that soiled bedding and towels are hazards of the trade. It took a lot of arguing to get them to not charge for the supposedly uncleanable bedding....

We found cheap accommodation in Piura hard to find. Our trip was a two night stay as a stopover before Cusco so after travelling on a bus for 30hrs we wanted something comfortable but reasonable. The bed was good, the air con difficult as the room was so small and the breakfast not worth it being included in the room rate. The worst coffee and eggs I've had. Excellent breakfast. Quiet. Clean. Clientele seemed to be business persons. TV channel selections were good. Water pressure in shower adequate. Toiletries were of good quality.
