Great value. Super-clean excellent condition four-story two-star hotel on side street one block from intersection of Calle Coronel Mendoza and Avenida G. Pinto. This is NOT Hotel Plaza on Calle San Martin; make sure cab driver understands. Many taxis available for a cheap five-minute ride to centre of town (Cathedral on Calle San Martin) or an even cheaper bus-ride. Lots of water pressure and temperature in very large shower. Very fast Wi-Fi in lobby, and in some of the rooms. Our room (#213) was too far from the router to receive Wi-Fi signal. It is completely tiled so everything echos and the other guests are just 100% inconsiderate. Kids screaming all night (late) and all morning (early), high heels, loud conversations and cars beeping in the attached garage. Staff do nothing to ask guests to be quiet. Read moreI stayed here for three weeks as I was in Tacna on a research trip. I found it a very comfortable and secure hotel, the staff were attentive and always ready to help. The breakfasts were generous and tasty - fresh cheese and olives every day. For the first few days I was in an interior room, which I found very dark and a little noisy due to the sound travelling up from the car park below. However, when I asked to move I was given an external room that had lots of light and was much quieter. The wireless internet worked well....
