I had the most incredible stay at Casa De La Chola near Ollantaytambo! The property itself is breathtaking, with stunning mountain views and cozy living areas framed by huge glass windows that let you soak in the scenery. The rooms are spotless and full of charm, decorated with delightful Peruvian-themed touches that make them feel both comfortable and unique.
A highlight of our stay was the resident black cat, who stole our hearts! This sweet kitty would join us in the living room for cozy cuddles each night and be there to greet us in the morning right outside our door. We miss him so much already!
The hospitality was beyond our expectations. Tony, the owner, is a phenomenal chef who prepared delicious breakfasts for us each morning—perfectly cooked eggs, fresh fruit, yogurt, fresh-squeezed juice, and rich Peruvian coffee. We also loved the Sunday pizza night, where Tony made each pizza from scratch and baked it in his impressive brick oven; they were some of the best pizzas we've ever had! One evening, we wanted something lighter, and Tony made us a warm, hearty chicken soup that was absolutely delicious.
The location was also ideal. It’s only about a 15-minute drive to Ollantaytambo town, and Tony was happy to help us arrange a taxi when we needed one, especially for our early-morning trip to the train station to Machu Picchu. He even packed us a breakfast to go, which was such a thoughtful touch.
The peaceful, tranquil atmosphere at Casa De La Chola made it the perfect retreat after exploring. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a warm, welcoming, and beautiful stay near...
Read moreThis bed & breakfast is spectacular. Not only is the location just perfect, but the host, Tony, was very kind and helpful! Tony speaks little to no English, however, communicating with him was not a challenge at all. This place has 4 rooms and ours was simply perfect; very clean, very well decorated, and a cozy ambiance. The rooms are connected to a sitting area with a TV, couches, complimentary teas, coffee, and snacks. The property itself is located in the Sacred Valley with breathtaking views all around us and has a restaurant which serves a complimentary breakfast which exceeded our expectations. Tony was kind enough to pack us "to-go" breakfast/lunch bags for our long day in Machu Picchu. He also offered to drive us to the station 2x and for a very nominal cost. Tony has a brick oven pizza outside of the restaurant area where he will bake an array of pizzas and can create your own style. It was simply amazing. Tony has a few dogs who will roam the property, but are super friendly. The B&B is in a great location and it did not take us too long to get to Ollantaytambo station where we caught the Peru Rail. Highly recommend staying here -- you will feel as if you are camping out in the most serene valley in a 5 star tent. Thanks Tony for your...
