Paired with the via Ferrata and zip lining tour then staying at the StarLodge with the hot tubs was the right choice. ||We have been planning this trip for years, and it didn’t disappoint! The exhilarating climbing, the relaxing hot tub, the unexpected royal treatment at meal times, and the incredible chance to sleep in a glass pod on the side of the cliff in Sacred Valley with phenomenal views and clear skies was certainly a thrill of a lifetime. ||We were joined by 3 professional climbers on our via Ferrata and we also paid for the photographer to take our pictures. This is a must! Leave your phone in your bag. While the climb was strenuous and high, we never felt unsafe. We definitely enjoyed it!||The stay at the Star Lodge was not nearly as treacherous but doing the climb in the dark can be a bit scary, but don’t let that stop you. It felt like we had personal treatment as there were two professional climbers who stayed on site, one primarily handling jacuzzi and climbing duties and the other meals. We also saw two ladies climb up the flowing morning to clean the pods and change the sheets out. ||What an experience to check out when in...
Read moreThis was a phenomenal experience. We happened to be the only couple there the Tuesday that we went. We did the zipline when we first got there and opted for the package to have the photographer/videographer take some photos and videos of the zipline as well as our pod experience. It was well worth it! Jazz was awesome and captured some fantastic footage of the whole experience. Irwin got us up to the hot tubs (which is why we chose the starlodge over the skylodge)... and it was amazing to be in the beautifully warm water overlooking the whole valley. It was VERY warm- which was nice because there was a chill in the air and it was windy. We spent two hours up on the platform and in the hot tub and then went down to dinner. It was a wonderful 4 course meal and wine and then we went up to our capsule. It was a beautiful night and the stars were out in full force. We watched a movie, had some wine, and just looked out over the valley in awe of the fact that we were so high up on the side of the mountain. The climb up isnt for the faint of heart but the views are worth it and I was happy to...
Read moreWhat an incredible experience. My husband and I spend a night at the Starlodge (including climbing the Via Ferrata and Ziplining) at the end of our trip to the Cusco/Machu Picchu area, and it ended up being one of the highlights of our vacation (if not THE highlight). The pods are a very unique setting for an accomodation, to say the least. We found them both fascinating and intimidating when we booked. I wouldn't call us natural thrill seekers, so this definitely took us out of our comfort zone a little, especially the Via Ferrata. But Bryan and José, our guides, really managed to put us at ease, they were very helpful with the instructions, and they were there every step of the way to provide guidance and cheer us on. And Carla, the photographer/videographer, was an animating force who made it even more fun. It was an unforgettable day, and I would highly...
