A lovely accomodation in Banaue. Very nice view from both the lower ground terrance and if you book the mountain view room. We had a decent size room and bathroom, clean, storage space too and a desk. The food they prepare is very tasty. The ladies were very kind to us and cooked things for us to take away on our hike, like eggplant omelette sandwich and pancakes. On our last day we had a late bus so we went on a short hike, they stored our luggage there and they also let us use the shower in a spare room once we returned from our day trip. We highly recommend that you do the 2 or 3 day trek through Pula and Cambulo, it's an experience to remember! We had good fun with Kuya Joel on this one.
A piece of advice which we've also given them in person is they should be a bit more organised with the extra services they offer, such as tours or transfers, to avoid quoting a wrong price first and then quote a higher one. Although we understand there was no bad intention involved, it felt a bit awkward at the time as a guest to be told that the price is actually higher because they need to add their own commission. From my point of view, if you originally say the wrong price which then leads to you not making any commission on this one occasion(but also no financial loss for you), you take the "bullet" and you know better next time. Generally these commissions are to be agreed with their partners, not with the guest. But basically they refused to intermediate the private transfer that we agreed upon in the afternoon to Bontoc only because we refused to pay the higher price they told us at 10pm in the evening. So it sounded like "no cash outcome for us, we can't be bothered". This incident sadly made us return to Manila instead of going...
Read moreBeautiful location by the rice terraces, in a quite part of town. We stayed just one night but it was beautiful.|Joel, the host was very friendly and helped is arranging tours and transport all at a very reasonable price. From the start, he was willing to help even before we arrived, which I liked. It helped plan the next few days and give us a chance to see more of the area.|As we were coming from Maligcong, he arranged a transfer for us with stops along the way at the view points. The next day arranged a day tour for us by tricycle to Bangaan, Ducligan and a drop off to Batad to our next accommodation. He even picked us up from Batad the following day and allowed us to shower and use the facilities before our bus back to Manila. The accommodation also does a free pick up drop off to the bus stop which is 5 minutes away. |The room itself, we took the one with the private balcony, and it was exactly as described in terms of the view. The bed was comfortable and the shower had hot water. |The food was good even though the portions were a bit small for the price. |I would definitely recommend this hotel while staying in Banaue. Its a very peaceful setting in addition to the fact you will have help to get the most of...
Read moreThe Bogah lodge was booked for us as part of a tour organized by tour guide Denwil U. Bantangog : we recommend this guide, he took care of everything and he is worth every penny spent !!! We were really pleasantly surprised by this place, set over a valley, with great view and lovely terrace to enjoy the view. The restaurant proposes local food and delicious French fries !! Breakfast, lunch, dinner, beer at a very reasonable price and good quality. The bed was comfortable and our request for an extra bedsheet to cover was immediately granted! Room 1 was spacious enough to open both our suitcases, it had 2 tables a chair a comfortable queen size bed. The shower/toilet is small but functional and it has worm water đż Allover positive experience in a very quiet environment! We realized, one e again, after the Batad tour, how much it is important to return to a quiet and comfortable place with friendly and...
