OYO 697 Obrero Suites — Hotel in Davao City

We stayed only one night of scheduled 2 with hope to adding a 3rd.||||First let me say .. Staff .. very friendly.. But.. First room.. could not breath in comfort room /shower room due to overpowing stench of sewage. Even after staff sprayed airfreshener. The bed head looked dirty and had many buttons missing giving it a third rate look. ||We were moved to another room also on ground floor and it was in worse condition than the first although no sewage smell like previous room the cr was dirty and stained and felt a need to clean it before use.||The room was noisy and we were awoken by loud voices both later at night and very early morning. Was not a comfortable sleep.||We checked out at first opportunity in the morning ..found a really nice condo a few ks away where we were able to wash away part of the memory of ombrero. We were not given stamp for complimentary breakfast and was not offered refund due to appaling stay ... ||Have requested refund formally since and no contact or reply. ||||I am generally easy going and take things as they come and would not write a bad review. This is the first I have written because is the worst stay I have had.. and no compensation was even offered.. was even a moment where our deposit for cleaning/damage was not going to be returned... that's when it became laughable. I can not recommend anything about this establishment except the staff seemed nice... couldnt help ... but seemed nice ||Pics...

The place is not that obvious from the street that it’s an accommodation. The brgy to which it is situated tends to get busy in the afternoon so expect traffic. There is very limited parking space. The rooms is quite interesting as it has it’s own kitchen corner complete with induction stove, electric kettle, and cabinets with cooking materials and dining cutleries. Though it’s nice to have these features, the room in itself is just okay. Not expect something that the room is well-maintained, nor the linens and towels are properly cleaned. But it was okay and better than other cost-friendly inns. There’s a reception desk at the ground floor, the building has its own security guard, and there are businesses shared with the building itself. Overall,...

The place, ambience and the accomodation is good. The price was cheap and good for those people who are finding good place to stay but in an affordable price. One thing that i didnt like maybe its not a big deal for us and for other customer but the one of wifi account they gave to us we cant connect it likes already used. Maybe some of the customer will complain abot this because its not a big deal and even for us but not all customer are same behavior. They have to make sure that the wifi account password they will give is not used. Maybe some of their staff use it but they have fix this problem maybe its not a big deal but maybe someday it can affect in there business...
