General’s Hideout Siargao — Hotel in General Luna

Unfortunately, I cannot recommend a stay at Inara.|My wife and I spent eight nights in Siargao researching accommodations for our travel blog, staying at four different properties: Las Palmas, Kalani Villas, Kalinaw Resort, and Inara. Of the four, Inara was the most expensive — and the only one that disappointed us.|The resort itself sits in a beautiful location, the rooms are tastefully designed, and the staff are genuinely kind and helpful. Unfortunately, the management falls far short of expectations.|From the moment we arrived, small but telling issues began to add up. There was no help with parking or baggage. We were told we’d receive a WhatsApp message in the evening to choose our breakfast, but within ten minutes of checking in (around 3 p.m.), a staff member arrived asking us to place our order immediately.|While breakfast is “included,” it comes with numerous confusing restrictions — one juice or one coffee, fruit not included, a 380 PHP croissant included, but the 420 PHP beef tapa not. These arbitrary rules made the experience feel needlessly complicated and cheap, especially for a room costing over $300 USD per night. To add to that, there was no in-room coffee, only paid coffee in a communal area.|After finally sorting breakfast, we planned to relax by ordering a bottle of wine by the pool — until we saw the prices. A bottle retailing for 590 PHP was listed for 8,000 PHP, an extraordinary markup (the same wine was 1,200 PHP at another resort). We skipped the wine and decided to enjoy cocktails at the beach bar instead.|That experience was worse. The bar area was set up for a private event, and we were awkwardly seated at the back of a building with no view, no fan, and no atmosphere. The cocktails were among the worst (and most expensive) we had during our trip — the calamansi margarita and Blue Daku tasted nothing like their descriptions.|The next morning, I requested to speak with the manager to share our feedback. Unfortunately, the conversation was unproductive; he thanked me for the comments but offered no acknowledgment, apology, or effort to improve our stay.|Inara has so much potential — a stunning setting, great design, and lovely staff — but under its current management, it’s a frustrating and poor-value experience. Your warm and professional hospitality means everything to us ! ☀️☀️😊☺️||For location , it’s like 10-15 mins away from the busy area and also because of their beautiful views. Privacy is 100 % ! Like you can just own the whole resort and staff here are always so discreet and respectful professional! ||For food , I had the amazing birthday dinner at the resort and organised super well by the staff ! Chef made the best meal ever ! And don’t forget to try their cocktails! 🍹 ||For our room that we stayed ; it’s super clean and every corner at the resort is super Instagrammable !!|| Also , the bedsheets smell really good and keep us feeling refreshed everyday very nice bedding too . ||After spending 4 days 3 nights there, I definitely don’t wanna go home and I can’t wait to come back and stay wjth INARA SIARGAO RESORT ! ||For transportation, the resort have private car and scooter services !
