Discover Boracay Hotel and Spa — Hotel in Kalibo

Hotel is just a few steps away from the airport this makes it so ideal if you are in the go. I stayed for 1 month in room 208. There is free breakfast a la carte. My room is airconditioned has a queen size bed. Free wifi and free cable t.v. hot and cold shower. Small but clean. No telephone inside my room so everytime I need something like for example room service I have to go down personally to the front desk to ask for it. This room doesn't have enough closets. I wasn't able to remove all my clothes out from my travel bag because I have no space to hang them or store them out. The room 208 is not sound proof you can hear voices and foot steps in the hall way. During my last week in Kalibo I was transfered to room 1007 situated in the new and adjacent building. My new room 1007 is significantly quiet compared to the old one. I can't hear noises anymore in the hallway. It is new and a lot more spacious the cabinet is bigger too for my clothes and a single telephone to be shared by other hotel guests in the lobby. My gripe with room 1007 though is the shower drain because the water in the floor won't completely dry due to an erroneous leveling of the floor tiles during construction and its uncomfortable to leap frogging your way around that portion of the floor where there is that puddle of water... The following day after I complained about it guess what they transferred me to this beautiful, big, clean and comfy room 1003 which even has its own coffee room/lounge inside. I'm so happy with my new room thanks to the front desk lady her name is Joy and to the hotel management as well.. Staffs are polite, courteous...

Discover Boracay Hotel was a big disappointment. It is a airport hotel, although we arrived by road we choose this hotel as it had quite okay reviews.||It was not okay... For it's price you should expect a lot more then following:||||- Broken and Dirty bed sheets (stains and hairs), upon our request they they changed the sheets to clean ones, but still broken. ||||- The room was VERY dirty, the floor had not been cleaned. ||||- Woke up in the middle of the night and the bed was full with ants, and so was our 2 month old baby... ||||- Water heater in the shower constantly shut off, impossible to take a shower ||||- We had room 201, and it had no ceiling lights, and only 2 decorative lamps i.e. it was very dark after sunset. ||||- As a traveling family we booked a room for 3 persons plus one infant, don't know how they are counting... But should not a room with 3 beds have at least 3 towels, not only 2? ||||I have both during work and holidays the last 4 years spent more than 500 nights at hotels mostly in Asia, often in small and remote villages and cities. It was my first time to stay in this hotel just infront of the Kalibo International Airport. The hotel is small but looks very appealing. Rooms are large enough and I like their bathrooms. However, no matter how good the place is but you lack maintenance it can reduce the attraction the guest have. The room I stayed at was at the second floor, it has 2 beds and was comfortable enough but the pillow sheet on one of the bed had a hole in it. Not very noticeable at first but when you are already holding the pillow you will really notice it. On the bathroom, the sink had a leak. Was wondering why the side of the bathroom sink was wet and when I looked inside the cabinet under the sink it was wet. Aside from these, the free wifi got offline twice during my one day stay.||||Now, among the bad things I encountered in the hotel. I must also give credit where there is due. Like I said, the hotel looks very appealing and their staffs are very good. They are very approachable, very willing to help and very kind at heart.
