Jacob's makiling lakeview resort — Hotel in Los Baños

The place can accommodate for up to 45 pax and is spacious for 3 floors. However it is small for all 45 to be on ALL in the same area.

We went to Jacob’s, a group of 33 pax, I felt a bit cramped on the 1st floor for dinning. Plus there was a lot of RED ants all over the house. The next morning we woke up and a stray cat had rummaged through some of our food bags that our helpers set aside. There was also a stray dog that kept coming to the kitchen. They leave the gates open during the day which allows strays to come in.

The bedrooms and bathrooms were not cleanest. Even my 4 year old daughter didn’t want to walk inside the bathroom coz she felt it was dirty.

The 4th level had a broken balcony.

And yes, we had to park our cars outside. They didn’t have parking.

The worst part for me was the showers! I stayed in one of the rooms on the 3rd floor. When I took a night shower, the water pressure was really low then in the middle of my bath, the water stopped. I ran out and tried the 2nd bathroom, not working. Knocked on the 2nd bedroom on the same floor and asked to use their shower, it also did not have any water. None of the 3 showers on the 3rd floor had a working water shower. When I alerted the care taker, he said this was because every shower was being used. Clearly not the 3 showers on top coz none was working. And how can you have 5 bathrooms when the other showers are not working. And they didn’t even provide a basin and tabo for us to fill water in for the next day. Also, how can you say you accommodate 45 people with a swimming pool then not let them shower at the same time? The resort is good for a private party since it is located inside the subdividion and located at the higher ground in Los Baños Laguna. Rooms are big and can accomodate for a big groups with small rooms for small group of people. Swimming pool is good for swimming and relaxation. For entertainment, videoke is also available and billiard table. There is a kitchen available at the ground floor. If you want to have party and play loud music, The rooftop is available with sound system. Place is good and nice, the only issue are, comfort room for the dormitory type is only good for a single or one person although they are some comfort rooms available outside. The location of the place is high so you need to trained your feet and stamina to reach the venue. It is a 3/4 storey floor, if you have senior or children with you i suggest to room them in the 2nd floor for convenience but overall it was a nice experience...

The resort is huge that can fit up to 50 people. There’s a pool and a separate Jacuzzi, which is a good amenity. It has billiards, board games and karaoke for entertainment . The negative experience we had were bathroom drain was clogged, shower head needs to be changed and poor water pressure. There were a lot of stray cats that will eat your food. There were cat poops in the balcony that stinks the room. We had to ask the caregiver to clean but the smell lingered. You have to bring own toiletries and towels. Kitchen amenities are limited. You have to bring disposable plates and utensils. Other than that, we had fun with our reunion...
