We stayed here march 24-26 holy week 2016. |Big rooms are already booked when i called so we dont have a choice but to book 2 small rooms, We are 4 adults and 1kkd and a baby. |Location: its they say 5 hrs from manila, we got there 10 hrs because of the traffic at nlex and subic. They are nearest to potipot island and claim that they are just 3 mins by boat. We got there less than 3 mins :) maybe because the sea is calm.|Rooms: dirty... There are a lot of cobwebs and the wall and the floor is dusty. I have to use wet wipes to clean the surface and believe me they are so dirty. Pillows are too small, beds are not comfortable, no comforters, linens looks and smells dirty, towels are old but clean, no other toiletries aside from super few liquid soap on a liquid dispenser. Good thing as i am travelling with kids i always bring extras. When we got there rooms smells like baygon we have to wait for hours for the smell to lessen considering we are already dead tired for the long long trip. Good thing the airconditioning works fine.|Resort: generally resort is ok. Pool at night, they have to add more lights as it gets so dark at some part of the pool.|Staff: staffs are accommodating except for this chubby gay who seems like he/she forgot to smile. One weird thing is that the staff sleeps near the dinning hall using folding beds. Its not pleasant to the eyes, dont they have enough room for the staff??? |Boat to potipot is over priced i think, yes 400 is just 400 and if you are 6 pax its just less than a hundred but for a 3 min ride they charge expensive. Been to other places who have package for island hopping and some charge 1k only for more than just...

Isla Vista's location is undoubtedly its saving grace, with a perfect beach area that is surprisingly well-maintained. However, it's impossible to ignore the fact that this resort is desperately in need of an upgrade. The rooms feel like relics from a bygone era and are begging for a modern makeover. The bathrooms, in particular, leave much to be desired, with subpar cleanliness that is far from satisfactory.

Now let's talk about the pool, or rather, the disappointment that it is. The lackluster maintenance and questionable water quality make it far from an inviting feature. It's disheartening when a supposedly luxurious resort falls short in such a crucial aspect.

Perhaps the most telling aspect of Isla Vista is the feeling of relief that washes over you when it's finally time to leave. Instead of the typical sense of longing that a memorable resort should evoke, this place leaves you counting down the days until you can escape its lackluster ambiance and head back home.

While the location and the cleanliness of the beach area deserve some recognition, it's hard to overlook the outdated rooms, poorly maintained pool, and the overall feeling of dissatisfaction that lingers throughout your stay. Isla Vista has a long way to go before it can claim to be a truly desirable resort experience.

While writing this review, I realized that I didn't even bother taking any pictures during my stay at Isla Vista.

Company outing..

Travel: Minimum of 4hours. Lots of patience needed.

Reception: Check-in: Originally, we booked 7 rooms. 2-3 days before our check-in, their OIC offered us a lesser cost of rooms which we agreed. Upon check-in, the recep is not informed on the charges but manage to do something on it. Then, had problem again with 1 room given to us because of no light and it is located on the edge part of the resort. Did complain and somehow pressured the Recep to transfer that room near to our area (2nd Floor).

They didn't explain that they are closed at night and Recep starts at 8am. During our check-out, we have to wait for almost an hour (7 15am to 8am) and request for the Manager to accommodate us.

Rooms. The rooms needs an upgrade definitely. Furnishing is old, AC needs an upgrade so as the overall setup of the rooms.

Food: 1 before, we informed the OIC for a Salo-salo meal 1st night, it was not coordinated in the kitchen or recep. Recep initially requested to move our request but didn't agree and luckily, they manage to fulfill or request. Kudos to the Kitchen staff πŸ‘

Tour: no options provided by the staff though we know that they'll have profit for it.

They are undermanned, I hope the management can do...

Despite the 7 to 8hrs long drive, my family and I had a very enjoyable long weekend last April 29, 2017... and here's my review... Staff - from booking and upon arrival they were so approachable, accommodating and helpful... not sure with the owner The resort - the cons- they should have at least... a complimentary drink upon arrival...a smiling and a welcoming owner when she's around. The pros - since we arrived earlier, they allowed us to stay at the tent area while waiting for our room, they even allowed the kids to start swimming in the pool. - The potipot island is just a 3min. boat ride. - free use of facilities/amenities The dormitory room - costs 5k per night, good for 8pax only... we were 19 including kids..instead of offering 2 dorms, they maxed it out and even charged us for the excess pax that cost me almost 10k ... though the room was enough, 2 ac's were fine, fridge needs a replacement, beds were comfy, has 2 toilets and 1 shower room. The beach - go to potipot island, hehe...

We literally wasted our money and time in this resort. Refer to below specific per area ratings.(1 is the lowest and 5 is the highest): 1. Rooms - 1 (looks and feels old and dirty and the smell is horrible) 2. Service - 1 (No regard to their customers, as in all staff doesn't care. And they report for work late in the morning) 3. Pool - 2 (lacks maintenance) 4. Amenities (e.g. billiards table, volleyball court) - 1 (old and are no longer usable) 5. Food - 4 (This is the only exemption, they serve delicious and fresh foods but they don't serve breakfast πŸ˜…) Overall, my rating is 2. Better go to Dawal, just a few meters from Isla Vista.

Not a good place to stay and relax. First, the water pool in the dirty. We asked the staff why is the pool green, they said that it is because the tiles of the pool is green and the reflects the sun. However, the next day, the pool tile is visible as blue, not green so the water really needs to change. Second, the room is horrible, it needs to be clean thoroughly. Third, we are supposed to be checked in at 2 pm but then, we are only allowed to go at 3 pm because that the only time the staffs are done cleaning. In conclusion, go to other beach resorts around the area because this one is not worth of your money.
