Our family booked the entire resort for 3D2N (we are 35pax)
Resort: The owner and her staff are all very pro-active and accommodating. The place is clean, the rooms and sheets nice and clean, they have small touches that are very convenient like drying racks, an equipped kitchen, freezer, spacious mess hall, a 2nd kitchen upstairs, soap and shampoo racks in the CR, balcony chairs and table. The resort also has videoke, bonfire, a pool (3-5ft). They have ice and purified water if you need additional.
Nightlife/ coffee: On Saturday night there was a live band and fire dance nearby. A good vietnamese coffee near the beach would cost you P180 for 16oz. We cooked our food at the resort so I can’t recommend a place to eat.
ATV Trail ride: Ms KC, the owner organized a Lahar ATV trail for our group and we had the best time. Look for Kuya Bonbon (guide) he’d take you to nice lahar trails.
Beach/ Swimming: The Liwa-liwa beach is suitable for swimming on certain times only as it is quite wavy. Recommend going there early in the morning as the waves are not too strong. Beach is 3mins walk from the resort.
An option is to drive to Pundaquit (30mins away) and go to Anawangin cove for white sands and gentle waters. Boat transfer is usally P300/head + environmental fee + resort fee of P70.
How to get there: To get to Liwa-liw, set Maculcol bridge as your destination and immediately turn left after the bridge— there is a rough road going to the dike. Take a right and drive along the dike until you see signs (for resorts) then make a right. You’ll see the Zamba compound gate—this is the entrance. Don’t use waze set to the resort as guide— you’ll just get lost 😆
Overall a perfect 5⭐️experience. Will book here again when...
Read moreI am more than disappointed with our stay at the Liwa-liw Beach Villas & Dome Glamping.
Apart from the fact that the room is too expensive for its condition, it cannot fit six people. I understand the absence of towels; however, no toiletries like shampoo and bath soap were offered. I have booked numerous resorts and villas; drinking water typically comes with the package. In this villa, the aim is to milk everyone who acquires the place. The jacuzzi and pool water are too unclear, and you can't even see your feet when you dip. The water in the sink stinks, and the smell stays on your skin! The grey water has no proper drainage; the disposal runs out in the backyard, making the surrounding area smell bad!
As noticed, most accommodations have grey water runs in the front or back of their establishments. And we all wonder why the beach is dirty. Where do the environmental fees go?
If you plan to book accommodation, avoid the place—or, I should say, the El Samba area— spend your...
Read moreLiw-liwa Beach has that same laid-back charm you’d find in La Union, only in a smaller and more intimate setting. It’s a beautiful spot that instantly makes you feel relaxed with its calm waves, wide sandy stretch, and cozy surf-town vibe. What makes it even more special are the people—friendly, warm, and always ready to welcome visitors as if you’re part of the community.
Unlike more commercialized beach destinations, Liw-liwa still feels raw and unspoiled, perfect if you want a quick getaway that’s not too crowded. Whether you’re there to surf, catch the sunset, or simply enjoy the slower pace of life, this place has a way of making you stay a little longer...
