Edem Island Inn — Hotel in Malapascua

Edem Island Resort, lacated at Kabatangan, is a brand new homestay of the beaten track still developing step by step. Currently 1 fan, 5 aircon rooms (approx. 15m2), all attached with nice veranda & bathroom next to Thresher Cove Resort incl. PADI shop in NE of Malapascua. Owner family is very friendly and attentive. Clean room, towels & bedsheets. Beach distance 100m. Bounty beach approx. 25min walk. We booked 5 days fan room Ps. 800/day. Owner runs a small shop with basic needs and offers tasty inexpensive barbecue every evening. The fan room is well furnished, get’s warm during sunny days & new paint is still smelling a little bit. Terrible experience. The A/C remote had dead batteries, the toilet wouldn’t flush until we fixed it ourselves, and the water heater didn’t work. Cleanliness was shocking—sand on bedsheets, filthy linens, and even a spider nest on a pillowcase (photos attached). Avoid this place...
