Update as of May 11
Terrible stay. We booked just for a night. Got the 2nd level room. We already knew it was going to be bad because we're on the side of the road again. Rightly so, I have not been able to sleep soundly, due the noise from the traffic outside. And to make it even worse, before we stepped out, i reported clogged toilet floor and sink, but was only told they will get it fixed upon our return no one came. This is really terrible. I wish they can do something about sound proofing the room. Else this probably be our last stay in this hotel. SOGO is a lot more convenient if we are to visit our relatives again.
Update as of Oct 21, too bad we forgot our power adapters which we needed to buy again! If you have rounded plugs or 3prongs on your chargers, devices etc make sure to bring one.
Update as of Sept 10, We're at it again!
Got into another room, side of the road again. It was nicer room, noticeably bright and clean with really good AC. Though it's on the second floor this time, the noise from the traffic outside was somehow unnoticeable (except for occasional revving).
WiFi is working! But, they only got the type a flat electric sockets. Too bad there's no way we could plug in our chargers without an adapter!
Update as of July 30. We booked in this hotel again and got a different room. This time around, we got the double room. Supposedly a downgrade from the deluxe double room we got last time. But this is far better than the other, and sure it looks newly renovated! The noise pollution I was complaining about before has be unnoticeable from this side of hotel. Therefore, we got a goodnight sleep! Service so far is consistently good!
Cons:
Gcash Payments you would need to add 10-15 pesos per transaction. No Wi-fi probably due to weather
For the price we paid, not bad at all. Just make sure to set your expectations based on the amount you paid for. The facilities are okay noticeably old and somehow smelly when you first enter. It has all the basic stuff that you need. Bed and Sofa for you to rest on. AC is fine, cable TV, tables, clean toilets with hot and cold showers. Nothing fancy.
However, I have to say while the overall location is great, the noise pollution brought about by the traffic next to the hotel made it extremely difficult to get a good night sleep. Even at the wee hours of the morning you can still hear all sorts of noise. This may only apply for the hotel rooms, and probably not for the garage rooms since they are located in the innermost part...
Read moreWas back in Manila for a second stay at Town and Country Hotel, since my last stay few years ago, they have refurbished the bathrooms with new smooth tiles instead of the previous mosaic tiles, which become grimy when wet.||||The room did not have any musty or smoky smell, and the mattress was soft but the pillows nicely firm. There was only a bedsheet but no blanket, and when we asked for a blanket, was given another thin bedsheet (and charged 20 pesos for it). The room was spacious with enough room to lay out luggage, and rubber slippers were provided for use in the bathroom.||||The water pressure from the tap at the sink was poor, but fortunately the shower had enough pressure to have a good bath. There was no plug at the sink.||||The hotel reception and staff were friendly and accommodating to our requests, and we were able to order breakfast the night before to save some time the next day. Wi-Fi reception was variable depending on the distance between the router at the lounge and the room. Road noise from the main road was noisy but bearable with the air-con running and windows closed.||||Overall, an average hotel for the area but suitable...
Read moreFor rooms, I rate 3 stars because the first bedroom I was put in had bed bugs. For the first two hours of stay I was observing if it was just my imagination or there are bed bugs biting me. True enough, there was. I could feel insect bites all over my body. So I had to call the reception and complain. For service, I give them 5 stars. They responded immediately to my concern and gave me a new room. The rooms are nice actually. All your needs like clean toilets, tv, AC and comfy chairs are present. For the location, I rate 1 star due to the noise pollution from outside. All the noise coming from trucks, jeepneys etc can be heard inside the rooms I was put in. So, I am having a hard time finding sleep. They should at least come up with some ways to lessen the noise. I know it may cost some but at least their customer’s can really relax and have a good night’s rest. Especially those that may have come from long...
