Thinking that booking Marco’s Tourist Inn through Agoda will save us some money (still p985/night), but without seeing it in person before room reservation might be a big mistake. The Inn has smelly room, unsanitized CR, and unprofessional staff. Front desk clerk can be summoned by pushing the red bell button. The female clerk is not courteous, utterly lacking customer service skills. She doesn’t offer WiFi PW, any anemities, until you beat it out of her. After a long climb to the third floor for registration, and also entrance to your room… and why are all the rooms on third f**king floor? Avoid this place if you have a bad knee, heavy luggage, or elderly senior in your group, you will NOT going to make 3 flight of steep stairs. Once you made the exhausting climb, there is some guy sleeping on the dinning table! A squatter, perhaps? Some teens playing games loudly from the Inn’s WiFi. Then there is our room; clump of black hair still on the drain, toilet seat is still wet, room is reek of sewer smell, bathroom sliding door is difficult to slide open. And get this, they don’t offer toilet paper so bring your own if you are unlucky to stay here! Thinking about a good nite sleep, you won’t have it! If the noisy AC doesn’t keep you awake, the nearby Christmas music blaring at 3:30AM in the morning will! Can’t cancelled the room because we already paid through Agoda! On the positive note, the WiFi is decent speed. Parking is good with plenty of space for our SUV. Robinson shopping mall is close by, as well as McDonald...
Read moreHad this booking via agoda with a cheaper cost. The rooms are in the third floor and the stairs are rather steep, it's not good for those with knee problems and Senior Citizens, and PWDs. The attendant needs more training and the vibe is a little shabby. I've got a single room with own CR and it's ok. The bed linen is thin, and there were no freebies (tissue, soap, shampoo, etc.). Yet, it's a 10-min walk to Robinsons Mall, and a 5-min walk to Jollibee. The location is not at par compared to others since some drivers do not know the place except for the street and the brgy name. There is a common area and I thought I could order anything like for breakfast, or coffee, but nope. You have to eat outside or bring a takeout. Anyhow, I've slept well though you can get awaken at around 5am due to the Church's bells (it's super close to the Fatima Church,...
Read moreThis place has zero toilet paper 🧻. We requested TP for our room and we were told sorry we don’t provide TP since we have bidet. The walkway in the hall doesn’t provide enough cover from the rain. It was raining so hard and we were soaking heading to our room. The rug was soaked so we drag our dirty shoes to our room was nasty! The towel rack is broken, my stuff fell inside the toilet. Requested for extra bed we were given a mattress, note the dirty wet floor from the rain. Oh BTW, behind the place is a church and the bell 🔔 right (sound like phone chimes) freaking 5AM for like 15mins. I jumped off my bead thinking I left my phone alarm on or my kids phone alarms. I wouldn’t recommend this place. I’m pretty sure there are more descent other places in Ormoc to stay. Luckily we were only...
