I recently visited (Enas ) The Fish Lady Restaurant, and unfortunately, it was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had. While the food was decent, everything else was completely overshadowed by dishonesty and unprofessional behavior.
When we first ordered, the staff quoted us a specific price. However, when it came time to pay, we were shocked to find that we were charged an extra 600 pesos, with no prior explanation. When we raised the issue, we were told it was a "misunderstanding," but this felt like nothing more than a lie to cover up dishonesty. It’s not worth visiting a place where pricing is constantly changing, and they try to make you feel like you’re in the wrong. The whole experience felt like we were being taken advantage of.
To make matters worse, we had planned a boat trip with the same group the next day, but after what happened at The Fish Lady, we decided to cancel. The way the owner, who seems to be the one in charge, handled the situation left us with no trust in her or the business.
I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. It’s clear from my experience that honesty is not a priority here, and I sincerely hope the restaurant takes a hard look at how they treat their customers. At this point, I would say it's not a place worth supporting, and I hope it closes down for the way they cheat and deceive...
Read moreBeautiful island with crystal clear sea waters and beautiful white sand beaches. A 30mins/45mins-1hr boatride from the mainland Baclayon. Enas cottages offer a comfortable and decent stay (with/without meals) to people who wanted staycation away from the hustle and bustle of city life. Meals are served from organic plant produce and if lucky, a fresh catch fish/shells/seaweeds in the island. Rooms are clean and well maintained which can accommodate a solo, family or groups. It is not recommended for those who expected a 5-star hotel-kind of stay. NO aircon. The owner itself has a small store (only for essential items). Laid back life where you'll use a dipper to shower/clean yourself. The water source is from rain (for shower/cleaning) so a must for water conservation, but there's drinking water which is mineral. There's a lot to do on the island such as snorkeling in the turtle area & coral gardens, fish feeding, dolphin/whale watching, watching sunsets by the beach (which I really love) or even island hopping where you'll be able to see and experience the simple island lives of the locals. Just scroll the fb page "Enas Cottages in Pamilacan Island" if you want more details and contact the owner +639275813678. Massage therapists are available as well if you wish to...
Read moreI highly recommend this place for relaxation and a base for diving trips on the nearby reefs. In my opinion, the reefs off this island are amazing. As for the accommodation, these are houses that are clean, beds are comfortable. There is no air conditioning, but it is redundant, because in such a place you do not sit in a cottage. These cottages are specific and will not appeal to people who like 5 star hotels. There is no running water in the cottages. There are, however, bathrooms and water tanks. In my opinion, this is sufficient in such a climate and place.
It should also be emphasized that we had the option of cottages with meals (3 meals). The food was delicious and always surprising in taste (see photos). I never go here hungry.
Near our beach, on the left, 200 m in see direction are beautyfull reefs. In this location sea has 3 m deep (see foto)
Jedzenie bylo pyszne i zawsze zaskakujace smakowo (zobaczcie fotki). Nigdy nie chodzilem...
