We stayed for 5 nights in Villa 1 as a group of 7 friends end of may 2025. The villa was beautiful as shown in the pictures — tidy, spacious, and stylish. We really enjoyed the space, but there were several issues that affected our comfort and are worth noting for future guests.
Firstly, the master bedroom’s air-conditioning unit was too small for the size of the room, especially considering the heat coming through the large glass wall during the day. It made the room uncomfortably warm at times.
Secondly, the dining area/sala lacked a sink, which made it inconvenient to wash hands or dishes. We were surprised to learn there was an extra charge to use the dirty kitchen outside, which felt a bit unreasonable given the needs and size of our group.
One major issue we faced was a complete water outage on our second night — no water to shower or even flush after a long day out. Since there was no reception available after 10 PM and no response from management, we had to wait for hours until the issue was eventually resolved. Fortunately, the night guard went above and beyond to assist us, calling maintenance and helping resolve the issue even though it wasn’t his responsibility — we were very grateful for his help. Disappointingly, there was no apology or follow-up from management during our stay.
We also found the following things lacking or in poor condition: -The drinking water dispenser wasn’t adequate for a large group and ran out quickly. -The dryer didn’t dry clothes properly, and there was no place to hang laundry in or around the villa. -The TV was stuck in Chinese settings, which made it difficult to use. -The umbrellas provided were rusted and broken and could definitely use replacement. -Security-wise, we would have felt more comfortable if we had been able to lock the main villa doors, rather than relying only on individual room keycards — especially when staying as a group. -The bidets in the toilets were not working -There was no trash bin in the dining area
On a positive note, the staff were lovely and very accommodating, especially during an event we organized at the villa. A special thank you to April for her attentiveness and support throughout our stay.
The highlight for many of us was meeting Coco and Cola — the sweet resort dogs who greeted us every day. For their well-being, it might be helpful to include “Do Not Feed Me” on their shirts or offer limited dog treats in the villas with instructions, so guests can interact with them responsibly.
With practical improvements and more responsive management, the Villa could offer a much better experience for...

Read moreChez Judy is newly opened resort, about 10 minutes away from Alona beach which really ideal if you want a quiet holiday. ||||Although the resort didn’t have a review yet as it’s so new, we risked it and stayed anyway. Me and my family stayed in this resort for 3 nights and we didn’t regret it at all. The hotel is lovely and quiet just what we needed after a long tiring day doing tour around Bohol. ||||There’s a few little things still need improving but, we didn’t really care about it. What we are impressed about is the amazing service from the team. Kuya Arthur the chef alway accommodated our needs and requests when it comes to food. He goes out of his way to provide what we needed. On our first day we arrived late in the evening travelling from London. Although the restaurant already closed, when we asked if we can still order some food, he didn’t hesitated to stay and cook for us even it was quite late at night. His customer service was excellent! ||||Also, the resort general manager was very helpful arranging all the tours for us, it makes our holiday less stressful and enjoyable. ||Well done to all the team. ||||My apology for the late review, I thought I had submitted this review but, I didn’t realised I hadn’t click submit, lol. ||||I would like to add regarding Kuya Arthur’s own recipe Potato Wedges, they were totally unsolicited one afternoon but greatly appreciated. A really nice touch, AND they were superb too. ||He is an absolute credit...
