EDIT in response to owner: it was not a drink preference but an allergy for my wife. Read all of the reviews here, service is terrible and you're charging 10% for it. Literally the job of a server is to bring what you order. My server didn't do that after I corrected him twice. I told him when he brought the wrong dish, a third time. You and management charged me anyways. Why not just take the food away or comp? The building is nice but with a server bringing random dishes and charging you then charging you 10% premium is bad service. Seating other people who arrive later than us when you told us it is first come first serve is bad service. All these high reviews have 1 or 2 reviews in their history. All the low reviews have hundreds of reviews. Are you buying reviews?
Props to the chef but service is imo not good and they charge 10%.
It is first come first serve with no reservations unless there is a larger group, then they will be given priority over couples.
While waiting for a table after we were budged by another group I went to wash my hands. They seated my wife, I asked where she was. They told me to wait and that there was 6 people in front of me. I said I was here with my wife. Told me to wait I found the woman with the headset and she said my wife was seated upstairs.
The waiter didn't speak good English. I asked about two dishes and he ordered both. He said let me read it back. I said no I don't want that fish dish, and said my order. He half listened. Later on 3 dishes came out for my wife and I in addition to our appetizer.
When the dish came out that we didn't order, I told him we didn't want it. He didn't take away and management left it on our bill, which we also had to pay 10% on for service charge.
My wife is deathly allergic to mango and kiwi. They have a passionfruit and kiwi drink. They have a mango and strawberry drink. She really wanted a drink and asked if they could do passionfruit eitb strawberry, which I thought was an easy request as they make the drinks downstairs in a blender. They said no and didn't offer any real alternatives.
How was the food? It was decent. Some dishes better than others. Two things I appreciated were the tempura citrus with the curry shrimp and the sharpness of the salad dressing. Caesar salad was actually the best item we ordered. I think the menu is thoughtfully designed but the mains could have been better but the price performance is good the atmosphere.
If there was better service I would return. I think I'm more worried that a miscommunication could happen where my wife's allergy is not recognized given the English understanding of the service staff. If staff was better I would return. I think seating others who arrive later on a first come, first serve basis, adding items to your order when asking about them and you repeat back two times that you do not want then they bring it out, etc. Is kind of frustrating.
We had to wait awhile to be seated and this restaurant has no wifi. Having wifi would help make the time pass when waiting.
Just my thoughts but service is not good here and they add 10% on top of VAT. Just something to consider.
Down the street there is a great restaurant with top end service, wifi, great ambiance and similar cost performance and they have wifi. When comparing them to that a 3 star rating is generous but I can appreciate the kitchen and see they care about...
Read moreAll these beautiful pictures are just for advertising or what it looked like when it opened. we were there for dinner last night full of anticipation. There was only one dish and a very limited list of drinks. The service was average and not very informative. The food served as a kind of BBQ on a roof tile at the table for self-service. The entire menu consists of 95% very cheap ingredients 3 differently marinated bacon strips, very thinly sliced pork, 5x skewers with chicken 2x chicken liver, chicken intestines, 2x chicken gizzards, a very old lumpia, sweet pasta salad, rice, a soup and a few fruits (watermelon ) Soy sauce and sweet chili sauce. The mango shake. is made from concentrate, which dissolves into its components again after 5 minutes and separates from the water. Back to eating. everything is very, we say politely tasteless. (Except for the noodle salad that reminds us of a children's birthday party) We all asked ourselves what that has to do with Vietnamese food. We all know the kitchen there and have come to know it as a true explosion of flavors. In terms of culture, it was a great disappointment. Cheap ingredients, without ideas, love and culinary art in tasteless marinades and the rest drizzled with Sriracha sauce, served on a wooden shelf. No spices, herbs, salt etc.etc. It is incomprehensible why no higher quality ingredients (fish, mussels, beef, prawns) are offered here. The ambience is very nice and very successful. The architecture of the building is very appealing, easy parking. We will not visit it again for the time being because the price / performance ratio is not right at all. It doesn't help that the food on offer is unlimited for one hour. All the photos seen here on the internet have nothing to do with reality. at least not on...
Read moreThe interior aesthetic of the place is what‘s bringing people and netizens in, looking for that perfect intagrammable nook, and post that perfectly garnished entree and drink.
All the food we ordered tasted good, albeit not extraordinary. Presentation was there, dishes were well plated. We liked the Calzone Bites, that can be eaten as an Appetizer or main snacks since it was already filling enough wheb eaten as a whole plate. I found the Roasted Chicken overcooked, but the flavors are there. The sauce with rosmarin and thyme — maybe italian herbs, was a win for me. The Seafood Chowder was also very delicious, but as a comfort food, I wished the soup was warmer. I did not like the Cheesy Korean Pork because it was already overly cheesy and the fat part on the pork belly was already thick. The winner for us was the Beef Smoke Paprika, which was very tender and flavourful.
The drinks were refreshingly good. Although, in a province where fruits are supposed to be abundant, I would rather have the smoothies with fresh fruit ingredients and not just fruit jams and flavours combined. For the price not worth it.
On the other hand, the service we got was highly commendable. All the staff were very welcoming and attentive.
Mosa is an overall great experience. We had a great time and mostly enjoyed the food. It is pricey. In my opinion, you are paying not so much for the food but for the location, the interior, and the service. It is well worth, maybe, to try just once.
P.S. I hope they can improve their loo and washroom. The toilet seat needed repair and the door didn’t open easily from the inside. Also, regular cleaning would be very much...
