** this review was taken from Booking.com where I originally made the reservation|| ||Liked: Nice grounds and garden. Clean and decent size room. The Filipina ladies, tricycle drivers who operate the grounds, clean & prepare rooms, food and all services they provided is the best feature of this place. The complimentary tricycle pick up (2-tricyles for 5-passengers) from the airport as part of the room reservations was a neat experience for our foreign guest and as locals, we are used to this efficient transportation. ||||Disliked:||-the rooms had mosquitos; netting would be nice to be have or at least the option for a fee or deposit for a better sleep ||- I reserved 3-rooms for a party of 6 (one of us dropped off so only 5 persons-stayed). when I asked if room was already paid a feature typically experienced with the booking platform, the owner was annoyed- instead of simply double checking his system. ||- online description needs to be clear how many beds in the room; we were all automatically given one full size bed per room - I asked for 2-beds on at least one room||- took some time to get online because “owner” claimed he didn’t know how to help; Filipina lady showed up later & kindly solved problem||- even though I booked in advanced and inquired early about cost & pre-ordering breakfast, having 3-rooms, 6-guests & food restrictions, I anticipated this to be problematic. upon arrival & providing requirements, we were told we needed to ask in advance- huh? that’s why I asked in advance?||- the owner who was present when we arrived, was a silent unfriendly observer- thank goodness for the hospitable, professional and ever friendly Filipino crew who made this lukewarm “guest house” stay polite...
Read moreWe asked for airport pick-yu and the first time we met a very nice and friendly people who came after us on tricycles. The road to the Jungle Guest House from the airport is about 30 minutes. Very nice owner, checked in and got the keys to our rooms. Quite clean, but by European standards could be more cleaned. The bed large and comfortable. There is WiFi but it works in the morning or evening and quite poorly in the dining area. Breakfast is tasty, freshly prepared. Service very nice and friendly. About a 10 minute walk is the beach. About 3 km from the Guest House tasty restaurant - access tricycle PHP 50 one way. The hotel has a great garden, but also be ready for the sounds of nature - the rooster starts crowing at 4 am is the norm! Regarding the Internet - you should buy your card - 300 MB per day, from the purchase of the card around 180 PHP...
Read moreWe stayed at Jungle Flower Guest House for five nights in late February, 2017. Coming from America to an exotic island, we felt perfectly comfortable in large air-conditioned rooms on the beautifully landscaped grounds. The staff is incredibly attentive and helpful, and we enjoyed a full breakfast of omelet, toast, fruit and coffee every morning in the cafe. The staff arranged for great tours such as Honda Bay island hopping and the Underground River, and we got picked up in a van at the gate. The staff also arranged for rides to the nearby shopping mall. Highly recommended...
