Honest review: Very nice resort, I like the place, very clean, spacious parking, staff were friendly, nice swimming pool although itโs warm water but we enjoy it and clean, their beach is crystal clear and clean no trash. They have water dispenser and free lunch meal.|Their washroon and toilet is very clean.|Also they will allowing you to bring outside food, mini karaoke and butane gas if you want.||Issue: We had an issue regarding our payment to their information/office.||On march 27 we deposit 50% downpayment thru BDO for the researvation and I sent a receipt proof that I paid. Then the staff sent an acknowledge receipt and booking confirmation thru messanger. We expected that the payment was already sorted since they already sent the acknowledge receipt to my messanger.||On March 28, one hour before the check out time. They said they didnโt received the payment the one we deposit 50% downpayment yesterday. I sent them the receipt proof that I paid 6000 pesos from my bank account. They informed us to call the bank to see if the problem was from our bank or to their BDO bank account. Afterwards, I found out that the problem is in our bank account and then the bank going to refund that one we sent to the resort bank account.||Problem:||1. They informed us one hour before our check out time that they didnโt received the 50% downpayment. They should informed us more early or the time we deposit 50% downpayment so we can sort it out as soon as possible. 4pm everyone in my family were already packed their things and took a shower so we can check out early but except me and my wife since they informed us late. We supposedly check out early because mostly of my relatives needs to catch the time for travel traffic due to their night shift work and other commitment but instead we spent more than 1 hour to sort the issue regarding the payment.||2. Their telephone landline only avaiable within the resort. Not for the outside calls so I spent 400 pesos to load my phone number and to call our bank.||3. They sent an acknowledge receipt booking confirmation without the confirmation that they received the 50% payment. So they hold us the time we are about to checked out.||4. They only accept cash! They donโt have terminal for cards. Luckily we still have a cash BUT what if the costumer donโt have a cash? Are we going to the main city just to look for the ATM? Thatโs too much pressure to the customer.||A far from that, the staff were still polite and apoligized regarding with the isssue above. Good things about it: โข Staff o The staff were nice and friendly. โข Ultra-modern o The architectural style of the finished buildings was very contemporary. We stayed in a shipping container, which had a very modern interior. โข Very clean o The interior of the shipping container we stayed in was very clean including the bathroom. The common bathrooms were very clean as well. โข Great view of the ocean from the infinity pool. o The infinity pool was very picturesque especially with the ocean in the background. โข Comfortable and elegant chaise lounges. โข Carefully planned facilities. o The dining area and exclusive rooms faced the swimming pool and the ocean perfectly well. โข Great ambiance lighting at night o The string lights and capiz lanterns created a very festive mood for guests.
Bad things about it: โข All-you-can-eat buffet o The all-you-can-eat buffet fee was mandatory. The food they provided was not enough to feed everyone, even to those who have already paid the mandatory buffet fee. Guests had to show up early enough to be able to get any food. They should make the buffet fee optional. o The menu item selection was below mediocre at best. There were very few choices. For the price of P1,750 per person, they should have more selection and offer better tasting food. โข Overpriced o Everything was overpriced from the rooms to the buffet. As of the date of this posting, the price of the buffet was P1,750 per person. Since the โall-you-can-eatโ buffet was actually very limited, not all guests could get enough food. โข Unfinished construction o The reason why my family and I stayed in a shipping container was because it was the most affordable room to stay in. But for the price of P6,000 per night in a shipping container, it may not be affordable for everyone.
There you go! Would I go back to this resort? Never ever! The bad things about this resort should be enough to discourage...
ย ย ย Read moreThis is an honest review. My friends and I went to Netania de Laiya last April and we checked in at Akinah Room 09. Here's some pros and cons based from our experience.
Pros: They're fast to respond to our inquiries. Pool and beach front area is very clean and aesthetically pleasing. Vibes was serene. Male staffs are so accommodating (S/O to Kuya Darwin who willingly helped us regarding our concerns). Food was great. It exceeded our expectation. (Disclaimer: We bought the ingredients, we just made paluto to their in-house chef.) Our booked room doesn't have free water pala we kinda misunderstood their reminders (fault is on our part), however upon arrival we asked if where could we avail drinking water and they gave us a free gallon. Room and comfort room is clean.
Cons: There's a construction ongoing next to our room (Somehow disturbing noises.) The aircon in our room kinda malfunction. Internet connection sucks. Their free paluto and palagay sa fridge is somehow messed up. Female staffs are slightly mataray and rude in answering our concerns. Their cabanas and umbrella tables policy are somehow disorganized. Based from our experience, we felt like the day tour guest has more benefits compare to the overnight guests. The doors, stairs, and cabinet placement in the Akinah room were not ergonomically and strategically placed.
Recommendation: The management should reestablish their policies when it comes to benefits of day tour and overnight guests. They could have established an specific area in where the day tour cabanas and tables are separated to the overnight cabanas and tables. Expand the capacity of the kitchen (in terms of appliances and staffs), in order to cover the orders/inquiries of guests.
Overall, we still had a good experience and stay despite of some shortcomings. We still enjoyed...
